I've been living in Cedar Rapids for 4 years, and I've been coming to the store for 4 years. I've lived all over the world, including in China. When I moved here, I worried that I might not be able to find the Staples I needed for Chinese cooking. However, this is a wonderful store. The people are very friendly and helpful. They have an excellent selection and so far I've never needed something that they didn't have. One of the best things about this place is that they have a cooler with all kinds of fresh Chinese vegetables. The prices are very good, and they also have an assortment of frozen fish, and other Frozen food such as dumplings. In addition, there are different kinds of African and Middle Eastern groceries here as well. I think you could find anything you wanted here, but if you couldn't, they would order it for you. I highly recommend it, whether you are an experienced Chinese or Japanese cook, or you just want to try your hand at cooking something different. Here is a place where you could come and get many ingredients and ideas, without...

Read moreI love to come here, I wish I could more often but I think I need to check out every item they sell and I stay for too long! It's a typical Asian market, lots of spices and marinades and a different selection of fresh veggies than you find at the supermarket. The prices are usually lower than the groceries have been since the inflation price hikes. And they continue to receive some items that most stores have disco'ed since Covid-dried mushrooms for example. And there's a better variety! And they're not as expensive! Same with spices and coffee and tea! I really love going to Saigon and the owners are always super helpful with recipes and such. The only detractor to this store-and mind you it has been there for a long time, would be the stairs. There's a step up then a few down, then up again depending on if you want to go to the rice room (my name for it😁) or cooler. It's a small store and you do want to be careful walking through. But the railings are in place so I just go a little slower. It's really...
