I would like to share my experience I had at Woodley's Furniture Store in Englewood. I'd purchased a marble coffee table durning their moving sale. My sales rep. was Carol. I'd purchased several items totaling $3000, after receiving the coffee table I'd noticed it was not level. I called Carol she total me her manager was not available that day.The next day I texted her and informed her my husband was in the area and wanted to speak to the manage about the table. Carol texted me back that they were BUSY. So we went back and fourth with no resolution. The next day(Thursday) we just decided to return the table. I saw and told Carol after such harsh texts from her I just wanted to return the table and not replace it. Carol SNATCHED the receipt out of my hand and walked away to do the refund. Never said a word. When she returned, she shoveled the refund receipt in my hand, again never said a word, just looked at me rolling her eyes with discuss. I was so insulted with being treated that way, I'm positive being a woman of color didn't help my situation. I immediately asked to speak to the store manager, Carol said, "there she is right there". Robin (the Manager) not far away came right over. I shoveled the receipt in Robins hands and walked away, just to demonstrate how I was treated by Carol. I turned and asked Robin how did that make you feel? Because that's what Carol did to me!!!! I explain the whole ordeal to Robin, and told her I have the text messages to confirm the conversations I'd had will Carol. Robin apologized immediately on behalf of Woodley's, and as Carol was standing there Robin said," Carol, I'm sure feels the same way". Obviously not, because an apology from Carol was not forthcoming. Even after I demonstrated again in front of Carol how she snatched the receipt out of my hand. She couldn't even dispute it. Carol told me SHE felt INSULTED!!!!! because I didn't trust she could resolve the situation. Well guess what Carol the way you treated me was INSULTING. As a black woman/person, we are used to just what you did!!! But don't get it twisted that don't mean I'm gonna take it. Snatching the paperwork, shoveling the refund paperwork in my hand, refusing to apologize, all of it. Sometimes we just get tired, I'm spending my money and want to be treated like everybody else spending their money. I will definitely share my experience...
Read moreMy salesperson, John, was helpful, direct, and efficient. He showed me around the sales floor, listened closely to my needs, and showed me exactly the types of bed frames I had in mind. Putting down the deposit took no time at all, and John let me know immediately that there would likely be a 3 month delay due to supply chain shortages and other factors. I had prepared for that, so "no problem" and the waiting began. After only a few weeks, John contacted me to let me know that the frame had arrived, and that the final bit would be the low-profile box springs which had yet to arrive. He also let me know how delivery and set up would work, and that he would follow up with more information when he had it. And he did! The delivery got sorted out, and they even managed to time it so that the mattress arrived only 1 day prior to the frame! Considering I had ordered the two separately, I was very impressed. A smooth experience from start to finish, excellent communication, clear & fair pricing, and timely delivery.
On top of John's professionalism and expedience, the delivery guys worked with me diligently and without hesitation regarding parking difficulties within our HOA-controlled neighborhood, as large trucks tend to be a no-no. They unloaded in minutes, moved the truck down the street to keep it out of the way, built the bed, and even had a chance to chat about our common interests while we waited for the final payment to clear on their portable card processor. It went so fast, in fact, that I pre-empted the HOA complaint by several minutes, which has NEVER happened before with any delivery that caused significant disturbance.
Do yourself a favor when it comes to the place you rest every day, and buy your furniture from this store (say hi to John, or any of their wonderful staff!). They're local, prompt, communicative, considerate, kind, and most of all professional, with the "can-do" attitude to back it up. I cannot compliment their process enough. Thank you, John, and thank you to the delivery crew - your efforts are very much...
Read moreWe just moved to Colorado in 2020 to prepare a retirement home and be near our daughter’s family. I had been made aware of Woodley’s Fine Furniture from a high school classmate who is a realtor in the Boulder area, so we came to just look in September and with the help of Nicholas Peterson purchased a sofa and chair for our living room. From the time we purchased until it was delivered a week later we were treated well in every aspect of the sale. Near the end of September, I came back with my daughter to look again showing her this amazing store. We talked with Nick again and looked at a dining room table we had seen on our first visit measuring the width of the table and checking on the price. I forgot to measure the height of the table and called back in the middle of October and asked for that dimension. Nick wasn’t there yet, so another person measured for us and I told her I would be driving there to buy the table and arrive in 45 minutes. When I arrived, I was met at the door by Nick where he told me they had the table in stock and we completed the purchase in 15 minutes. This was a Wednesday and the table was delivered on Friday! We are so pleased with the furniture, Nick, and every delivery person who has come to our home. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Shirley and...
