The fair had about two to three places you can buy tickets for the overpriced rides You can use your credit or debit card to purchase them. The lines weren't that long either for the rides. They had a lot of Crown Point police& K-9's walking around everywhere, plus drones flying around. Lots of free parking& also free admission during the week and I think it's an $8 entry fee on the weekend. When I called, someone nice did answer my question. Which was ,"when do you close?" The lady said,"..We close at 10 pm or 12 am depending on the crowd." I can verify that they did close promptly at 10 pm sharp! In my humble opinion.. My 12 yr old kid had fun going to the fair. Me?I didn't like the food 👎🏾 brought a $10.00 funnel cake 😠but they give it to me cold🫤so after that I refused to buy anything else there but tickets for the over priced rides! Smh. .I suppose...if you've been to one fair, you've been to them all!😁 Nothing but over priced food ,big crowds and lots of over priced carnival rides. Tbh🙄 Idk but driving way too far into Crown Point made me feel uncomfortable, not sure why..😒 probably because I didn't see a lot of people who looked like me attending 🙋🏾♀️ only barely a handful here and there. Not my cup of tea, 🙅🏾♀️absolutely don't plan on going back next year, I'm good. I'll just go to Jac's warehouse or Zig-gys if my kid wants a...
Read moreNot as fun as it was in past years. The arts and crafts building was closed. If the building needs work move arts and crafts to one of the other buildings that nobody cares about like the flower building and the one next door. Everything there is extremely expensive. $4 for an ear of corn from the free masons, like they don't already have everything. It was $2 last year. $25 for a beef sandwich with fake cheese on it, and a cardboard bowl of rice. $14 for a mango lemonade. $17 for a bucket of French fries with fake cheese and bacon bits, all these venders raised the hell out of their prices plus they all have tip jars are you kidding. Thanks to the greedy venders for pricing me out of any fun at the Lake County Fair! I will never spend my money there again! So save your money and go to one of the local...
Read moreThe lake county fair in northwest Indiana is one of the best events of the entire year! My mom and I have a tradition of going every year, multiple times. We love the atmosphere in the beautiful park. Bring your walking shoes as the park is hilly. It’s so fun to see all the different animals and watch the kids show off what they did all year. The food is incredible and there are TONS of options. We aren’t midway people but enjoy walking around watching everyone enjoy themselves on the rides. Still need more? Catch a show like the rodeo or monster trucks or go buy some fudge or odds n ends in the industrial building. There truly is something for everyone at this fair, including an abundance of sunshine...
