STEAMWHISTLE COFFEE ROASTERS located in the town of Crown Point, IN is a warm, inviting & delicious stop to unwind & enjoy your “FAV” coffee ☕️ 👍❤️ .. offered in light, medium & strong brews/roasts. A great place to “think” (or not), socialize with friends, colleagues or simply kick back and have a bite & “crush it with caffeine.” I visited on a Monday afternoon & “regulars” were scattered at tables / corner nooks w laptops & iPhones enjoying their afternoon as the staff knew most on a first name basis. I spoke with a couple near me as well commenting on (barista’s name) who must have made their drinks. “We have been coming here regularly since the doors opened”. STEAMWHISTLE COFFEE ROASTERS offers an assortment of coffees & flavors, lattes, chai’s, teas & other frothy concoctions as well as sandwiches, muffins 🥐 scones, cake pops & freshly made dog bagel 🥯 biscuits. I picked up two for my pups. 🐶 I found out from “regulars” STEAMWHISTLE opened their doors 6 yrs ago by owner Tracy. She used the shoppe to roast her coffees but as her business grew now uses a facility in Lowell, IN. Tracee is an entrepreneur & her shoppe is a unique “one & only” as is the name STEAMWHISTLE (Tracee’s husband is affiliated with the railroad). An array of coffees & loose leaf teas in bags & canisters live large on a wall display with other for sale items as french coffee presses, milk frothers, tea kettles & other commonalities. Available for your convenience is a meeting room (prior reservation) behind a barndoor.. charming! (This service is free of charge for customers)…. outdoor table seating is available as well as indoor restroom for customers. I can’t end without saying the barista’s greet & serve you happily, warmly & answer any questions (as with myself writing this review). The premises are clean & price point comparable to other venues of similar nature. This is my own unbiased review of STEAMWHISTLE COFFEE ROASTERS & I am not affiliated with the brand or business. Cute place! Stopped in after a doctor's appointment and was not dissapointed. I have had a few of their treats in a cup a few times since if I'm not mistaken they have a really neat "food truck" at the St John farmer's market. Their menu was more extensive than I would have thought! I would like to go back and try a few more flavors. I had a banana latte and my fiance had a creative drink with white chocolate, I think regular chocolate & spearmint. Really balanced drink. At some other coffee shops it's too common to get sugar shots and not enough actual flavor in the syrup. Not this place. Both our drinks tasted like expected. Decor is put together and people were friendly. Definitely putting this place in my coffee shop rotation. Update : Food is also really really good.. Dunkin Coffee guy for years turned to a Steam Whistler! Yes it’s right by my house, however one of thee best customer friendly establishments I have ever been to, not limited to just coffee joints. I mean, customer service to a level of high end steak/itialian resturants downtown. Owner/operators are in most transactions, approachable, and the rest of the staff has been hand selected to do the same.

Watch out Starbucks, Steam Whistle is making noise, this place is here to stay. This place is a great way to start the morning off right!

Oh yeah, the coffee is amazing too! And I just get regular coffee! Wife get the mocha, something this that or the other and she’s a converted to a Steam Whistler too!
