Hi! I just came in for a quick haircut (I've been going for over 7 years and always get a trim, face framing, and layering). Got there at 4:10 and sat down 5 minutes later- super quick despite how busy it was, which was awesome! However, after 30 minutes of the new person (and I understand training is important) I had to wait another 15 minutes for another hair stylist to help with the layering. Seeing my haircuts never usually go over 20 minutes I had to turn down face framing because I was told that would take another 10-15 minutes. An hour is a long time for a simple haircut, especially after the new lady said first thing that my hair was like straw, which I've never had anyone in the past several years say (and advice could have been worded in a less harsh way). I was having a really bad day before coming in, so even though I still need to go to another great clips to fix my hair (I asked for 5 inches off but got more like 3 off) and after still tipping the new hairstylist (it wasn't really his fault since he's learning) overall it was such a bad experience I found myself so overwhelmed I started bawling after paying 25$ for a bad 45 min experience when money is tight, and now I have to go in elsewhere to fix it because idk if I can give the Savoy location a second chance. I'm just really upset and confused because I was told it's my fault, that haircuts never take 20 minutes so it's my fault I had no time to get it fixed (I left at 5), but my husband can attest even 30 minutes is the longest its it's ever taken, especially for...
Read more1, they lie about everything, 2, they don't have receipt, 3, be prepared to throw your shirt away since it will have hair all over, 4, be prepared to spend more than $50 if you want to do just a little extra, 5, they want to use the clippers for everything, no matter what length you ask them for.
I arrived there at 5:30 and google map said they close at 6, but they said they were closed when I arrived (another guy arrived even later than me). They cut my hair anyway (mine was a simple men's haircut). I said one and half inches on top, and the guy just used the 1 inch guard. He said "I'm positive it will be one and half inches." I even measured it when I got back, and it was 1 inch. Their "professional" haircut had sharp corners and uneven surfaces and no transition at all, you can do better yourself. Also, the guy got hair all over my shirt and my body, so I had to throw the shirt away.
I ended up spending $31 for a simple cut and an unclean wash. They had no receipt and they seemed not happy that I chose the minimum amount of tip, $5. You can only choose $5, or $7 or $10. I waited till today after I saw $31 posted to my credit card to write this review. This is how much I resent and distrust those people.
To summarize, if you don't want to spend $100 (haircut + shirt thrown + tips + trip + other basic stuff (scissor cut, wash, etc.)), and if you can afford $30 for a clippers set, then even your own haircut is better...
Read moreI've had a positive experience at this location in the past, but I'm leaving this review because my haircut today was terrible in several ways.
First, my stylist, Ami, only listened to about half of what I said, meaning the sides of my hair are shorter than I intended them to be, and overall I felt like she wanted me out of the chair as fast as possible.
Second--and I accept some credit for not making this clearer to her--but she folded my ear over itself multiple times in ways that hurt my rook piercing. Even though I had winced, said "ow," and moved away the first time she did it.
Third, she did not check her work, meaning I left with a bad haircut. Not only did she miss a tuft of hair behind my ear when she trimmed the edges, but the way she "blended" the top into the sides was bad enough that there are patches that stick out above the rest of the section. I've...
