I really wanted to love the salon. It's so beautiful. There's a couple of problems right when you walk into the door. The ladies behind the counter that greet everyone tend to yell very loudly. The second problem is that all the chairs are very close to each other and you can't really have a conversation without either talking to everyone in the area all at once or screaming over each other. You can't really talk about anything that you don't want everyone to hear and if you do want to talk you need to speak very loudly because it's so loud in there. If other people's voices aren't drowning out your own then the very loud music is. I thought that my stylist was very sweet. She was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. I requested a full foil and color correction. My appointment was at 3:30 and I was there until 9:30 p.m.. it's not totally uncommon for my hair to take a very long time but I'm sad about the results. I asked to go from a level 6 to 10. She did a really good job lightening my hair but much of it is patchy and blotchy. Kind of like leopard spots all over my head. I've got some really orange spots around my hairline with some dark brown spots. I paid around $650 total including tip. The entire time I was there I kept hearing all of the stylists including my own say that they don't have time to do with their clients were asking. I wish it were a more relaxed environment where everyone wasn't so stressed about space and other appointments and time. You just can't go there and relax. It also seems as though my stylist was lacking technique. My hair was down to my butt, she told me that it was too long and too thick to fit within her appointment time and asked me if she could cut it. I told her she could cut whatever she wanted to as long as I could still put it in a bun on top of my head because that's my favorite hairstyle. I told her she could cut whatever she wanted to as long as I could still put it in a bun on top of my head because that's my favorite hairstyle. a messy bun I should say. She went on to argue that even shoulder length hair can be made into buns so if that was my restriction then we could go as short as possible. I told her I enjoyed having long hair and it was healthy all the way to the end. But she insisted so I agreed and she cut it up to my bra line. It's okay, my hair grows fast, I'm not too sad about it. But it was so much length unnecessarily cut all so that it could look...
Read moreWell, I had a consult for extensions. Thought it went okay. The person that I was dealing with was sky. She did not understand English very well. I thought we came to an understanding of what I wanted. So then I'm calling and asking questions before I purchase my extensions. She's confused, doesn't know who I am. It gives me all kinds of different advice as I need to come in for a consult. Try to call to speak to a manager. No results, no callbacks. The receptionists don't even act like they have a clue on what's happening in the salon. I put a deposit down. I wanted just to try to get another stylist to have another consult. They said, if I cancel with sky, I lose my deposit ridiculous, they don't transfer from styles to stylus when it's their mistake from their stylist, that now she doesn't even know what I want or what I should get. After I had the consult, that's the whole purpose of a council.I believed so this alone, awful awful customer service and there's too many other people in the area that does extensions.I will tell me going elsewhere and would never ever recommend this salon to anyone...
This is in response to Style and Grace's responce....All false and inaccurate!!! I did tell your receptionist to shove the deposit and Skye as well.far from vulgar or abusive. ..None of the rest is true not even a little!!! Nice your tring to spin the reality of your salons unprofessional and the consultation was free, I was told and the deposit was to confirm my booking!! Your stylist was completely confused and everything we discussed at time of consultation was the exact same when I had further conversation with her,,I never changed what I was expecting!! I've been told by others, they've had same experience and awful...
Read moreUpdated to 4 Stars from 2 in the orginal post: Update: Another manager (McKayla?) called me later that afternoon. She appologized, listened to me regarding the problem and provided a couple different solutions. We chose another evening for the facial and complementary add on service. My Girlfriend came back and told me it was wonderful and she would welcome that for any gift in the future. Thank you Style and Grace Salon for making this right!!
Original Post: I scheduled a massage and facial for my Girlfriend's birthday. She went to the massage and when she was done a newer employee told her she could leave because that employee didn't look up her next service. When I called back 45 minutes later to inquire as to why they failed to do the facial, they admitted they are training new peole and offered me the same technician but tomorrow. I wanted to add on a pedicure so that she was at the spa for longer. The only way to add something on was to book with another facial technician for DOUBLE the price. The manager wouldn't do anything for me such as scheduling with another technician for the same price or working her into the schedule. It was their fault for telling her to leave and when I offered to spend more money on services, they tried doubling the price of the facial and wouldn't do anything to help with scheduling. If I could get my girlfriend into another spa today or tomorrow, I would ask for a refund. This was very poor customer service and I will not be recommending this...
