My sister and I came here for lunch and I’ve got to say, the best decision of our lives. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with the intoxicating aromas of food and the sound of mariachi music that made us want to salsa. We then chose one of many colorful booths and a young handsome young man took our order. We ordered a sweet tea, which was delicious and a Mr. Pibb which had the perfect amount of carbonation. After devouring the crispy chips and salsa, we ordered a chicken quesadilla and chicken on the beach. The quesadilla was life-changing. One bite and I swear I heard a mariachi band strike up in my soul. The two kind servers called us “senoritas” which made us feel young again. Service? Impeccable. Will we be back? Like a loyal chihuahua, si si and si! The sweet tea was delicious. We ate the food so fast we forgot to take a picture so enjoy this to-go box instead!

Today, one of my sisters had her dissertation defense, and we went here to eat afterward. Coming from Chicago, we were not familiar with any restaurants, and we decided to just go here, considering we were all starving. We were a big crowd and they were very accommodating, putting tables together so we could all be together. As we learned, they were down to only one waiter but had additional guys helping. We had a pleasant experience, my food was good, and I appreciated the portion size. Once they took the order, it didn't take long to get our food. I liked my Chicken Sinaloa, and my daughter enjoyed her taco dinner. She enjoyed the cebollitas, and overall, I heard good comments about the food. One of my sisters brought cake and they brought us extra plates so we could eat our cake. Good place, it was a pleasant surprise.

I see many 5 stars but I feel I need to leave 4 stars. The decor, service, menu options and cleanliness were all 5 stars. The food is where I need to leave the 4 stars. I ordered the chulopa, burrito and enchilada combo. The problem I had, and maybe it's just me, but when I order a burrito it is usually wrapped up and comes with more than just beans inside. The burrito I had was opened on both ends and only filled with beans. The enchilada was the same just filled with ground beef . The white cheese sauce, the chicken chulopa, the chips with salsa and our margaritas were all tasty but the cheesecake chimichanga dessert was delicious! If you go leave room to try this dessert. I would definitely go back but try something other than the burrito and enchiladas. PS the prices are very reasonable.
