This company is incredible!!!! I do my homework when it comes to home remodeling and renovation (I learned the hard way). I chose this company after a TON of research and I am so glad that I did. This is a small family company that is run by two brothers. They are honest, personable, and fantastic communicators AND listeners! I had the company remodel our bathroom and turn our guest room into an ensuite. The first part of the job was measuring, then designing, and then they started work. The designer was wonderful! She helped my vision come to life in ways that I really did not expect were possible. I wanted my bathroom to have a claw foot tub, tiled shower with frosted glass, gold accents everywhere, and the entire space to feel like a Mediterranean palace. I also wanted to do it on a budget...yeah :). They delivered to an extent that I cannot even describe with words. I wanted a steam shower but could not afford the plumbing costs to install it. They took the frosted glass to the ceiling and created a "window" at the top that opens and closes to keep in and release steam depending on the position that you put it in. I got my steam shower but without the higher cost! They found me the most gorgeous tub and it absolutely fit my vision and blended perfectly with all other aspects of the bathroom. When I told them that I wanted sinks from Morocco, mirrors from Turkey, and drawer and cabinet pulls off of Etsy - they told me to pick what I wanted and send them the specs. There was no discouragement related to making things work. They were constantly willing to alter and change plans based on my "finds" and "whims" :). The designer would even contact me with her own "finds" that she felt I would like. She would often do this well outside of working hours. Everything I wanted was considered and they actively sought high quality items that fit my budget. They also turned our guest room into an ensuite and I was worried about the cost since I had just done the bathroom. They basically would ask me: 1) what do you want to do? 2) what do you ideally want to spend? Once I talked to them about that, they would tell me costs and give me options. For example, they would say if I cut this out or did the project in this other way then it would reduce costs by X dollars and I would still basically get what I want. They would ask what I might be negotiable on and what I had to have and then they always made it happen! Let me add, I know that people say to never tell your number because contractors will take advantage, etc. My experience was not like that at all. They offered me so many options and worked so closely with me on price in order to ensure that my vision was accomplished but within my budget. They also updated the site related to my project every single day. I have used companies before that have such tools but never ever use them! Not this company - I could follow everything as it happened. In addition to all of the above, let me address the workers they use. I was blown away by the professionalism, knowledge, and incredibly polite demeanor of each of them. These individuals were the most professional folks I have ever worked with! If I were ever going to build as house from the ground up, I would pray to find folks like these. They were all also super kind and understanding of my kids being around, our cat, etc. We were there every day that they worked and it did not bother them at all. They also ALWAYS left the place clean both inside of the house and outside as well. By the time the project was done, they all felt like friends of our family. In the future, I plan on getting my kitchen and other bathrooms remodeled and this is my company! I HIGHLY recommend this company. I absolutely LOVE the remodels and want to thank them for being such an awesome group of professionals. If you are looking to remodel or do renovations, this is...
Read moreI cannot recommend Phoenix Home Remodeling (PHR) enough – they did a fantastic job on our kitchen and master bath. Even before I chose to work with PHR, Jeremy’s videos and website were an incredible resource – and that’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the professionalism of this team.
Justin and Jake were incredibly helpful in providing guidance on the scope of project (which for us, we settled on refinishing cabinets and new countertops/sinks/hardware in kitchen/masterbath; taking out the bathtub and updating the shower in the masterbath) and the initial ballpark quote they provided was accurate. The designer also gave great suggestions that were in-line with the inspiration photos we provided. Once we got started, Ben, Mark, and Steve were consistent in keeping us updated on what was going on with the project each week. Even when there were small hiccups (e.g. needed to order more hinges; glass had small chip prior to install and needed to be replaced), PHR was communicative and did everything they could to keep things moving along.
It was also obvious not only how skilled the team was but how passionate they were about their work. Garron took care to expertly align the marble-like veins in the tile we chose in the shower, and when he noticed that the accent tile we choose smudged easily, he pointed that out to us so we could consider other options. Scott did extra paint swatches for us to consider as options later on for our bathroom, and he took our daughter’s asthma into consideration when discussing painting options. Even when there were some minor issues after the project wrapped up (e.g., missing baseboard installation in our linen closet), Aaron not only fixed it right away but even painted them for us. And throughout the entire process, everyone on the team was amazing at keeping things clean (even during the demo of our awful 80’s style, thick block glass shower!) and was so friendly and fun to have around.
Overall, I highly recommend PHR and if/when we do any remodels in the future, I’d be thrilled to work...
Read moreIn the first stages of researching people to do a bathroom remodel, I reached out to friends & co-workers. I received ZERO recommendations from them, but a few "who not to work with" as well as hearing the story of how one of my co-workers had an open BBB complaint against the company they used. I've never done this size remodel before so I was already a little nervous, but hearing their stories stressed me out!
I went online to do some research and that included NextDoor and the Living Chandler Facebook group. Checked out past "remodel" posts and noted any companies that were recommended multiple times. Once I got a fair amount of companies, I started calling them for initial consultations. After that I narrowed it down to 3 for in-home consultations and quotes.
All 3 quotes were in the same ballpark, which was good since I didn't feel like anyone was trying to take advantage of me. I went with Phoenix Home Remodeling (PHR), because unlike some of the others, they didn't try to push me in a specific design direction and didn't try to force expensive options. Seriously, one company really tried to upsell me on everything, even when I would share concerns.
Jeremy, Ben, Mark, and Jason made me feel comfortable and, while working with them, reinforced that I made the correct decision by listening to my questions and concerns. They were able to take general ideas/concepts and make them a reality! Their subs also helped reinforce that I went with the right people. Lupe (tile), Roy (vanity), Cody (woodworking, misc), and everyone else were friendly, polite, asked me questions to make sure they got things right, and did a wonderful job.
Any kind of remodeling can be overwhelming, and PHR was the perfect guide through the process and helping me keep my sanity. I've already recommended them and will continue to do so, and I look forward to using them again! (apologies for the novel, but I can't say enough good...
