Friendly bartender, clientele not so much. Food was good, it was after 11pm so fryer and pizza were choices. Jalapeno poppers are same pretty much everywhere, out of the freezer but weren't destroyed in the fryer or taste like fish fry, happy they had clean oil. Suprise was salad, crisp fresh and delicious. I wasn't thrilled with my drink, $6.50 for jack and coke I can deal with but on a Monday night and no entertainment? Overpriced by about $1 25 & really couldn't taste the jack daniels so imagine my shock that I was charged an extra $1 for ordering a 'tall' glass. I don't know what the extra dollar paid for, not the booze and I know ice & soda syrup isnt that expensive. I paid for more ice and coke, I don't mind paying the extra dollar if going to get something for it. Also would have been nice to have been told of the charge prior to pouring, I would have said yes but then we'd have been having a conversation last night about pouring. Shouldn't short pour a bartender, or just flat out say I'm going to charge you $1 for tall glass but you dont get anything for it. I may or may not try again sometime. Won't bother ordering liquor thats for sure. So service was 6 stars đ food 5 stars but food and beverage prices were little bit elevated but delicious and pretty much worth it ($25 for 1 drink, a side salad and 6 poppers.....little much) however atmosphere, feeling comfortable...
Read more1st visit to the place and a nice experience. Saturday 1PM not too busy. Our waitress seemed to be handling the whole place and she did it well. My friend had steak and shrimp and I had a bacon cheeseburger. Both meals were done to our preferences and it was just good food. The menu had enough different options that another visit I might try something else. I picked this place out of the blue because it was halfway between where I live in North Phoenix and my friend in Casa Grande. Obviously a sports bar so there were many TVs and music playing but not too loud to hold a conversation around. It's a pretty good size place and I would imagine the football season upcoming will see it pretty packed sometimes. At one point I gentleman who I assumed to be the manager or owner stopped at our table to ask if everything was okay which I thought was very considerate. So my experience was really quite good and I wish the place well for...
Read moreI don't know what is going on with this bar but as die hard bears fan. I am disappointed that the ownership at Hob Nob decided to kick my brother out. For being loud and cheering for his team opposing the Chicago Bears.
I know that Hob Nob is a Bears bar but as fan who welcomes competition and wants to experience the game with same vigor as if I'm at the game. The over reaction was apparent not only to me but several other patrons who went to talk to the ownership on my brother's behalf.
Not only did they kick him out , the owner John decided raise the issue by cussing at me when I told him how messed up it was to kick my brother out. Resulting in a verbal altercation between him and myself.
Hob Nob needs to step their game up in regards to representing the Bears. Right now it's only a building with Chicago memorabilia! They need to go back to the Chi..and learn how to...
