As a frequent business traveler, I’ve stayed in a wide range of accommodations from budget motels to high-end hotels and I understand that not every property will be perfect. However, my recent stay at the Super 8 was deeply concerning and, quite frankly, unacceptable by even the most basic hospitality standards. I understand that a budget friendly hotel may not be perfect, but this absurd. Upon entering the room, the first thing I noticed was the overwhelming lack of cleanliness. The floors were sticky and grimy, with visible food particles, hair, and dead bugs adhered to the surface. It was immediately evident that the room had not been swept or vacuumed in quite some time. Chunks of flooring were missing, revealing areas filled with dirt and debris that should never be present in a guest room. The bathroom presented even more alarming issues. Mold was clearly visible around the shower area, and there were exposed electrical wires hanging above the shower head an obvious and dangerous safety hazard. The towel rack was rusted and barely functional. These are not minor oversights; they reflect a complete disregard for guest safety and hygiene. The air conditioning unit was caked with what appeared to be years of built-up dust and possibly mold. The odor when the unit was turned on was musty and unpleasant, raising concerns about air quality, especially for guests with allergies or respiratory sensitivities. Additionally, I noticed that the back door of the hotel, which should have been secured and accessible only by key card, was broken and allowed unrestricted access to anyone from the outside. This is a serious breach of security and puts all guests at risk. Given the severity and number of issues observed, I question how this property has passed recent health and safety inspections. I would strongly encourage the local health department to reevaluate the conditions at this hotel to ensure it meets even the most minimal lodging standards. I rarely feel compelled to leave such strongly worded reviews, but the state of this hotel poses legitimate concerns for guests’ health and safety. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend this property to anyone. The only positive experience I had was not staying there more than 15 mins and the front desk lady, she was very professional. I did end up getting a full refund without any hassle.

Should be negative stars. Be for warned, stay somewhere else. Truck stop bathrooms are cleaner than our room was. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. We only stayed because we couldn't get our money back. The beds are not queen size. I found a live cockroach in the bathroom the last night we stayed. Everything is dirty. The tub had hair in it, and the bathroom sink and tub were disgusting. The beds are not queen size. Bedding was dirty, still had hair in the sheets and the comforters. I stripped the bedding because I decided to bring my own out of our truck after seeing the room. The room smelled like cigarettes. The floors were so dirty when we walked in our shoes made sticky sounds. I couldn't handle it, so I hand mopped it with a washcloth and soap. I wiped down all the surfaces I could with bleachwipes. The water in the tub was black by the time I was done with the floor. The girl at the desk informed us they a $150 deposit at check in and another 150 if you want to extend your stay, none of that is listed on the website. They also don't mention $25 Per pet Per night fee, at least not till you check in. Most all other places we stay only charge a one-time flat fee for animals. The lady was ok at the desk. We did get $100 of the $150 deposit back, and no explanation as to why we only got part of it back. The sliding door to the outside was nice with pets, but it didn't have a screen or lock, just an old piece of a metal broom handle to wedge in the track. The tv worked, the remote worked but was cracked and broken, that was the only good thing about this place. The ac didn't do much more than blow air. The fridge hardly worked and leaked water all over the floor. The ice machine was disgusting. The washer and dryer looked ok. The "breakfast" is a brown paper bag with yogurt and cheap muffins. It's a bed with cheap breakfast, a bathroom and cheap soak but that's about it. Its better than sleeping on the streets, although I think the street might be cleaner. We usually always do IHG hotels, but we took this one since we were late in booking, and most of the IHG places were full. I broke my own rule and booked without reading reviews, and oh, what a mistake that was. I don't care if it costs more, only IHG hotels from now on and always read the reviews.

Trust the reviews. BUYER BEWARE!!! I booked several days here, thru Priceline. I thought I had read all details, but admittedly, I did not. There was a required deposit. Upon arrival, I was told there was a $150 refundable deposit. The lady that checked us in made it very clear that this would only be used for damages, if the room was smoked in, or undisclosed pets. The room was clean, but looked like it had seen better days. This was acceptable, given our rate. Because I smoke, I was happy to have a ground level room, with a sliding door, with direct access to a nearby vacant lot. The night before our check out, I asked what needed to be done to extend our stay. I was told to book it, and see the Front Desk in the morning. I did, and paid for it on Priceline. The morning of check out, I went to go extend our stay, and was told I needed another $150 refundable deposit, and if I didn't pay it AGAIN, I would forfeit what I paid for the first night for cancelling. We left. When I addressed the fact that they still had my initial deposit, I was told it was told EVERY new reservation required a deposit. I called today, a week later, to find out about my deposit. They are refusing it, stating the room was smoked in, and had, "stains". How convenient... No one smoked in the room, and the only "stain" was a few tiny specs of blood on a pillowcase. Regardless, I don't know.... They just seemed to randomly contrive a reason to decline the return of my money. If you must stay there, take pictures of EVERYTHING on arrival, and ask for EVERYTHING writing. Our cheap hotel, ended up being over a $100 a night. 🚫🚫 I went in today to address this issue. The woman, who refused to give her name, asked me immediately, without initially recognizing me, "What makes you think you're getting a refund?". She then remembered me & mentioned smoking and the blood. She then told me I wasn't getting my deposit she was calling the police. Talk about an escalation of NOTHING. She DID call the police. I left, knowing this civil matter was a waste of time.

Run far far away! Booked through a 3rd party and wish I had done more research before booking this hotel. Like others have said I would give this place negative star rating if possible. Just needed a clean place for my family to sleep a few hours.

We had a question and tried calling continuously for about an hour and half before arrival and it always rang busy.

We checked in and went to room noticing halls were very gross and flooring was very bad shape. Smelled nasty. When getting to room we were desperate for bathroom (b/c there is not one available in lobby) and it was a bit dirty, but we used it b/c desperation. Washed three sets of hands and sink wouldn't drain. Light fixture was so rusted it looked as though it could be a fire hazard and only one bulb of four was working. Mirror in hall had finger prints on it. Upon checking rest of room, Pillow and pillow cases were dirty, the beds overall were made very poorly and sloppy, everywhere was heavily dusty, floors gross, table hadn't been wiped off. Air conditioner didn't work and room smelled awful. We decided to leave the room and ask about other solutions.

Front desk girl said she'd assign us another room. She did and it was right next to the first one. Before toting the family up I checked it out and it was in just as poor condition. Bed even sloppier showing yellow and gross mattresses. I had noticed someone entering their room beside this one and asked their opinion and they said if you can afford it go elsewhere. They were Wyndham members and had already reached out to Wyndham regarding the conditions.

I went back to front desk and asked for alternate solution like refund b/c we couldn't stay in that mess. The clerk had to get the manager and this manager said "I can give you another room or you can get off the property". I said we've already tried two rooms and based on the condition of lobby/halls/and those two rooms I'm not comfortable staying here, especially having children with me. I'd like for you to work with us. She refused and again said "I'll show you another room or you can get off the property"

I left briefly to the car and contacted the 3rd party we booked through. They walked through the issue with me and then tried to call the hotel themselves and also could not get through on phone. So I brought my phone to desk and they spoke with manager via speaker phone. Manager was very short and direct with 3rd party agent as well and refused to do anything other than offer another room. I said it shouldn't be guest responsibility to inspect entire hotel.

3rd party said there wasn't anything they could do that night but would escalate further on their end. I asked if I should officially check out or just leave property and the 3rd party said do either one at my choosing.

I politely went to front desk and said I like to check out and get printed proof of my checkin/out time. Clerk said that she couldn't do that she didn't think, but she got the manager again. Manager came out and huffily said "what are you needing now?" I just explained the same thing and she said she couldn't do that until checkout time the next day. (We had now been dealing with the situation more than an hour I've worked in hotels before and know that guests check in and out at all hours and many want receipts/proof of check out. Never a big deal when someone checks out..)

The manager was refusing to check me out, refused to provide any copy's of check in/out documents as well they took photo copy of my credit card when I checked in and I asked for that copy back and they refused. I wasn't comfortable with them having that information. She adamantly refused. So I began recording her refusal. She didn't like that and just said "Leave the property I'm calling the police" and she ran to back.

Needless to say I left room keys on counter and left. Called my card company and froze the account. Still working with 3rd party to try for refund. Also will be reporting to Wyndham and other needed parties.

This place needs to go out of business -do not...

I liked this hotel few things bad ac smelled like old wet towel if it was not running 24/7 You can't take breakfast to your room or they will charge you for it . I found that odd also a inconvenience I had 2 small kids with me 1 5 months the other 3 years. So they would still be asleep during the times of breakfast so I wouldn't feel comfy leaving then that long to eat plus I wanted to bring food for when my 3 year old got up. Also I didn't like that i was told 69 for saterday 59 for Sunday then when I got my bill on Monday morning it was 69 for both days kinda weird bc online there site said 64 for saterday and 49 for Sunday. The lady really didn't have a valid reason I was charged the 69 plus they do ZERO refunds no matter WHAT no lie. So I just said what ever . Also they charge $100 if you smoke weed in the room i get that I don't smoke but it was really uncomfortable when I get back from dinner on saterday around 12 am and the whole hallway smelled like weed and my room smelled like it as well . I did not like that my room smelled like that people can do what ever they want cool but I have 2 KIDS and I don't thing they should be braught back into a room to go to bed with it smelling like POT like i had to have my window open and ac going i stay up until 4 am because the window was open to air the smell out once I no longer smelled it i closed the window and went to bed. It is in a very good location they said that if I called to any of the resturants right there that they deliver i found out the is all false they do not . The night staff lady that helped me book my first 3 nights was very AMAZING and helpful the day staff lady is nice but was the one to charge the files price . They have AMAZING WIFI AND AMAZING CABLE. I was very happy that they had all the channels also HBO and some other movie channels . There dryer SUCKS you will need to do 3 cycles per load it's that bad one of there ladies in the am needs to watch her mouth though I know who she is but I'm not going to put her on blast but when your eating with your children in the breakfast room and your behind the door getting more food to come out and you are back there with the other cleaning girls don't talk trash about people that stay there and make fun of them bc how there room look as well as when your complaining about your boss and you might be getting another job do not be yelling or at least it sounded like it and drop B F and A bombs my kids could hear that and that is a family eating area they should not be hearing that . They were pretty clean most staff is very nice i like that they had a door at the end of the hall it made it easier leaving and getting back to my room i did not like that my bedding had cigarette burn holes if i pay that much for a hotel roo. I think it's smart to not give blankets with burn holes and those same blankets being the smoke rooms only when they had smoke rooms they no longer have smoke rooms . But if your looking food a good place to stay then this is the place though they tell you over the phone on Sat and sun they have hard boiled eggs they did not . But I would pay $50 for a night maybe $55 I'll never pay $69 go to a la quinta for that price they...

To be fair, some of the reviews presented our eight months or older when I arrived, so I don’t know what it was like back then but for me staying December 2024 checking in Thursday and checking out Friday the 13th I found the service to be top notch and the location was great with a Circle K right beside us and across the street fine dining. no one was rude. No one had a grimace for me. Everyone was polite and smiling, and if there was a smell of cleaner in the air, it was because they were CLEANING! That should tell you that this is a good claim super eight was good people paying attention to detail and they are doing everything they can to make yours stay as welcome as they possibly can and I sincerely felt that. It is true that the building is a bit older And it’s not unreasonable to consider some people are hard on a super eight so if you notice a chip in the wall or some kind of stain, it’s not something to overreact and I found no insects like people describe as I work as a social worker visiting many homes and inspecting them I am used to seeing cockroaches and bedbugs and peoples living conditions so I know what to look for and I found none of that here. I suspect the reviews of the past do not reflect the present, and I suspect those reviews lack credibility and honesty in comparison to what I’ve found, which was a good honest nights stay quiet and peaceful with good clean linen and a good clean bed. The fridge worked the microwave oven worked the TV works. I was able to plug in my laptop and so what more could you ask for? Don’t be discouraged by hateful, dishonest reviews they are likely bots, or just cranky people. And let me finish with this. I’ve been to a lot of hotels and motels across the country as I am now a truck driver unless you’re staying at a newly built brand new hotel you will not likely find wear and tear and any of these venues and you would be surprised how quickly, a place can get rundown because people are so hard on a place. They spill their food. Their drinks splashes on the ceilings and walls. They drop things and knock holes in the walls. They smoke in non-smoking rooms and they don’t even realize how hard it is for staff and management to keep up With all of that and I know because I once managed Howard Johnson and what seems to be good on people on the outside you discover that on the inside they’re quite the opposite and so you can never judge a book by its cover. Should you choose to stay at this location? You might find wear and tear, but I assure you, you can believe that staff and management are making every effort to ensure your stay will be comfortable...
