Main Street Flowers — Local services in Chapel Hill

I have ordered from here on a few occasions and it usually goes smoothly. Today however was horrible. Firstly the delivery driver shows up with the flowers ordered for my wife but no ballons (these were not cheap balloons) he wasn't even going to acknowledge that they were missing until I asked about them. He then simply said they blew away. Took the flowers inside then he starts knocking and said he would get new balloons and bring them back. This was around noon, it is now almost 4 when they close. Their phones have been off or unavailable all day so there was no way to call them and my lunch was almost over by the time he delivered them so I could not run to the store. Then on top of that whole situation they put the flowers in the wrong vase that was not what was listed on the website (the vase alone was one of the big draws to the particular assortment I chose for my wife) and the message card was missing. If I ever need flowers again, I'll only shop Main Street Flowers. Before I called them, I looked online and called Ava's Flowers. Ava's price for flowers (for a funeral) said $129.99. I looked up their delivery charge and it said $9.99. So I was speaking with them and at the end of the order, the price was over $180.00. I couldn't believe it. I immediately canceled the order and found Main Street Flowers. I spoke with the owner and she was honest and amazing. The price for the flowers were $74.99 and the final cost was $81 and some change. By the way, the flowers were beautiful and well worth the $81. Thank you Main Street Flowers. Shop Main Street...

STAY AWAY!! This place rips off customers big time!! They charged my husband $75 for a dozen roses that he picked up with no vase!!! There was no extra greenery and the roses were small! I called to voice my concern and just got a response of "sorry you feel that way". You can get a dozen roses under $30 at the grocery store with a vase! Only florist in town and they know how to upcharge the locals. So much for supporting...
