Amigos Mexican Grill Chapel Hill — Restaurant in Chapel Hill

The service was absolutely terrible. Our waiter was a young guy who literally just didn't seem to care. We didn't get a few of the items we ordered including a side of rice, vegetables for one of the meals, or tortillas. We never could ask him for the items we were missing because he never came back to our table until the meal was over when we had to have another server hunt him down. My son's taco had a dead fly in it... it fell right out as I picked the taco up to give 1 year old a bite. We had to ask other servers to refill our drinks because like I said- ours completely ignored us!

On a happy note- the food that wasn't messed up was very good especially the cheese dip and salsa. I think they just need to give our server a lesson in hospitality and try to control the flies (which I know is a hard task in...

This was my first time eating here and I absolutely loved it. The service was fast, The people were friendly, and the food hit the spot. We had a party of five and ordered a large cheese dip,and it was by far the best cheese dip I've gotten at a Mexican restaurant to date. I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla and it came with peppers, onion, carrots, broccoli, and I think it had squash and zucchini in it as well. I didn't eat it while we were there, but I did take it to go and eat it later. So even after it had sat in the to go box for a few hours it was still very delicious. We have eaten at 55+ Mexican restaurants over the last 7 yrs, rating our favorites and least favorites but I think I now have my new favorite. That is saying something because my old favorite had been just that for over 5 yrs. The salsa has just the right amount of kick, is chunky and thick enough to stay on your chip, the wait staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is fantastic. By the way, the BEST Tomales I have ever had at ANY restaurant I have ever been to. They have a unique item, Mexican cassarole, that is flavorful that I have not seen at any other Mexican restaurant.
