Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Charleston

Piggly Wiggly is super expensive compared to other competitors. The food is good but the prices is what makes me give them 3 stars. The price difference for example - for one item was - 13.00$ for a can of Coffee that normally cost 8.99$ at other stores. Even though that's only a 4.00$ difference, it adds up super quick.

If you need to save on money than I recommend shopping elsewhere.

As for their cheaper, off brand items - I cannot comment to the taste yet but I did buy a good bit of it today and will update my review after I have cooked and tasted it.

ETA: !!!IMPORTANT!!! I am editing this review to give my update on piggly wiggly brand food. The aisle where all food is basically 1$ ... DO NOT BUY this brand!! I cooked their corn on Thanksgiving and it was absolutely AWFUL!! I made Spaghetti with their brand sauce and my fiance said he hated it! His favorite food is spaghetti and there isnt a time he hasnt loved my spaghetti. I can take pre made jars, usually Kroger or Great Value Brands and make them taste homemade and delish! But piggly wiggly brand tasted horrid. Do NOT shop that cheap aisle! I visit Piggly Wiggly about 2-4 times a month. My pharmacy is inside, so I shop when I’m waiting on a prescription. About a year ago, unbeknownst to me, my wallet fell out of my hoodie pocket when I was getting into my car. It had about $150 dollars in it, my debit card, my driver’s license, birth certificate, the whole nine… Before I even got home and realized my wallet was gone, my pharmacist called and left a voicemail saying someone “found my ID and debit card”. At that moment, I realized I lost my wallet. I raced back down there, cussing myself, thinking that whoever turned in my wallet probably took all the money out of it. When I got there, I retrieved my wallet. And to my surprise, nothing was taken out of it. Not one dollar was missing. The employee could have easily taken the money and blamed it on the nameless/faceless person who turned it in… but they didn’t. They did the right thing. Their integrity was substantial. I will never forget this act of honesty and kindness, and have been a loyal...

I literally called asking if they sold a specific item I was looking for that I needed. I was told on the phone BY AN EMPLOYEE "YES THEY CARRIED IT" I went out at 9:30 at NIGHT after we hung up to go pick up said item because my child was asking for it. got all the way there, it's a 20 min drive for me, TO BE TOLD THEY DONT SELL IT !!!!! even was told they were not sure I even called that store because they don't know who would have told me that!!!! first of all I know that's the one I called because they answered with biggly Piggly !! plus I compared numbers I called vs what's listed on line!!
