The Purple Onion Fruit & Veggie Co. — Local services in Charleston

We purchased produce there and we were overcharged 13-15 dollars. We were talking in the car about them being expensive, and then when we got home and totaled everything up, we realized we got overcharged. No big deal right, we'll just call the store and get everything figured out. My boyfriend called the capital farmers market and the number for the purple onion. however he couldn't even get an answer from them. I call them, get ahold of whoever was speaking. I told her that we were just there and that we bought produce- didn't get any further than that before i was being "put on hold." i guess she meant to hang up when i was put on hold because i could hear her talking to someone and then what sounded like her checking someone out. i was then hung up on. i tried to call the store 5 more times without getting an answer. we ended up going to the place we bought them from to return the products at that point and we went in with them, and i do no know what happened during the transaction. she didn't refund the entire amount. she also from what my boyfriend said she had to say, condricted herself with the prices. when it says 2.99 lb for peaches, it shouldn't be 2.49 per each peach when we didn't even get a pounds worth of peaches. in all, they overcharge, customer services doesn't really exist if you can't answer the phone to find out what the customers issue is, and just in general seemed like a...

Picked up what was supposed to be around 27 dollars (sales tax included) of produce, the old woman at the counter proceeded to over charge me almost 15 dollars. Got home, did the math on prices and immediately took the product back and confronted her at the counter about the over charge. After ruffling through the bags she began to point out prices all of which were different than what the tags said, even printed price tags she over priced by 40 cents. She had an attitude the entire transaction and refused she did something wrong. It went so far that she had admitted she charged 2.49 a piece for 3 peaches when the tag on the bin had 2.99/lbs.
