My family loves this market! We go several times a year from Fayette County. We live all the seasonal fruits and veggies. Their flowers can't be beat. They have a wide selection of about any you are looking for and all at reasonable prices. The vendors are so helpful and friendly. They usually have something unique that we just have to get. Right now they have a LOT of different pumpkins to decorate with. They have some that are really unique and you can't get anywhere else. There are other fall items now too from decorative corn, fodder shocks, gourds, and even hand made fall bows and ribbons. The WV peaches were in and I couldnt pass them up either. If you want a fantastic lunch or dinner, then thisbisbthr place for you. From a quick bite to elegant fining, its all here in one location. They have upscale foods at Soho's with multiple dishes to choose from. There is the Purple Onion marker that has fresh made to go foods. They have salads, sandwiches, wraps and other fresh made items that are always great! I never miss going here when at the market. They have frsh fruots and vegetables. They also have bulk foods. From spices, soup mixes, chocolates and candies, cocoa mixes and so much more! They also sell unique kitchen utensils and items that can't be found elsewhere. I try to always keep room for a lunch or dinner at the Fresh Seafood Company. They have fresh seafood and you can also get the best hotdog in the city. Their Big Fish sandwich is always a favorite. They have other dinners like flounder and crab cake dinners. This isn't all but there are a lot of choices. You can also purchase some fresh seafood to take home and cook. If you have any questions about how to prepare it then just ask the nice folks there and they are more than pleased to give ya their years of knowledge for making it here at yourself. There is also a Holl's Chocolatier inside. Great Vienna, WV made chocolatss. Multiple choices and various boxes to enjoy. The Sushi Garden makes bankrolled fresh sushi while you are there. It's a great lunch and take some home for later. Its so good. If you want fresh cut meat or poultry then Johnnies Fresh Meat is the place to get it. Hand cut meats hand cut to order. If you are looking for a unique gift or WV item then The Market place is where to get it. They have WV made salsa, jellies, and other tasty WV made items. They have WV made Blenko glass items, WV books and great basket making items to give for a birthday or Christmas. Make sure you drop by because this is a great time of year to visit for fall items and Christmas is a great time...

My mother-in-law took my wife today for lunch and their meals together were over $30 my wife had the fish sandwich and fries and her mother, a of the clam chowder and I half of a sandwich. The clam chowder was gummy and cold and didn't taste anything like clam chowder and the half sandwich was really barely a quarter of a sandwich that was smashed and really quite pitiful. We have eaten there several times over the years and the big king fish sandwich is always a favorite. My wife enjoyed the fish however, the coleslaw was disgusting and not worth even eating. They've reduced the size of the croissants so they're piling all of the fish on a regular size croissant and dumping tartar sauce on the bottom in a pile an inch thick. Needless to say it was a terrible experience today and I'm not sure my mother-in-law will ever go back. Seriously the worst experience at the Seafood Market. My wife said the gentleman who is usually at the counter wasn't today and that when he's working there's never been a problem. Hopefully this was just a BAD...

While visiting WVA my wife and I stopped by the Capitol Market in Charleston to see what it was all about. This was our first time at Capitol Market and I haven't seen anything like this out west where I live so, it was a new experience for us. We met a very nice cashier lady named Kay that held on to are items while we shopped around. She was kind, and very helpful and we appreciated her. The market was very impressive inside and out with so many beautiful things and food, wine, seafood restaurants and coffee shops there is something there for every occasion and taste. The prices, the service, the employees and the food was awesome!

To the Vendor Teresa, at the outdoor market that sells the metal stamped yard ornaments ( BEE HAPPY ). Thank You for locating and holding on to our items that I left at your counter, we appreciate your attentiveness, honesty, and kindness you've shown. Thank You, We Had a...

Soho was a great place for our early dinner after an appointment in Charleston. The menu offered a fine selection of meals from ordinary to very extravagant.I chooses spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was very tasty, the pasta cooked to perfection and the meatballs large and flavorful. She had the vegetarian lasagna and found it very good but was surprised the structure was not similar to most baked Lasagna but enjoyed the meal.We both can recommend this fine Restaurant.

The downtown market was a joy to visit for this out of town visitor. We stopped in and browsed the outdoor market area. There were tons of fresh veggies, pumpkins and flowers to buy. We had a delicious lunch at Soho with fresh pasta dishes. Afterwards, we toured the inside market and bought a small candy box from the delightful vendor there. We had a great time and the parking was free.
