I went in showing symptoms of an extremely painful UTI that wasn’t going away with weaker antibiotics prescribed by different doctors. The reason why this review has 2 stars is because the staff was friendly. Otherwise, it was a complete waste of my time. I did a urinalysis, which came back negative. They said false negatives are common, and would send it out to the lab for further testing and would let me know the results within 2 days. Spoiler alert: they didn’t even send it!! One of the first things the doctor said when he came into the room was “well I don’t think it’s cancer.” He seemed serious. I was there for a stubborn UTI, I didn’t think I had cancer and never mentioned it. Why put that thought into someone’s head? Anyway, he diagnosed me with bladder and urinary tract inflammation and sent me home with a prescription for ibuprofen. I did the full round, it did absolutely nothing. I called back the office and asked for the results of my urinalysis from the lab and they told me they never sent it out. I went to a different urgent care which sent out my urine for further testing, and found a UTI! I would’ve been saved from another week of suffering if this urgent care would’ve...
Read moreWe were visiting Rhode Island from Spain and my wife was suffering from a severe skin condition, from post-radiation treatment. We feared she would need to be hospitalised, or that we would have to fly home urgently for treatment. Various visits to other care centres around the state did nothing to help her. We went to Charlestown Urgent Care upon the recommendation of our travel insurance carrier. Finally, under the very capable and wise care of Dr. Aurora Balerdi, the condition was taken care of. It felt like a minor miracle to my wife, who was suffering so much. Dr. Balerdi and the staff were just incredible. On future trips to RI, she and Charlestown Urgent Care will be our point of reference. The future of US health care should look like this! ¡Gracias!...
Read moreI highly recommend Charlestown Urgent Care. My family was on the very last day of our vacation when my 6 year old Son fell off of a hammock. We were pretty sure he had broken his clavicle. The staff was very calm and kind when we arrived. I was clearly upset but trying to hold it together for my child. They were quick to get us in for x-rays. He indeed had a broken collarbone. I appreciate Dr. Smith and the whole crew for their kindness in such a stressful situation. They should have been done for the day by the time we left and they still helped me wheel my little guy to the car. Thank you for helping my Son (and me) to make it through a difficult situation. I’m so grateful!
