After Hours Racing — Local services in Charlotte

Starting out my time attack project BRZ for next season. Went through a few connections, and they all directly pointed me to AHR.

Personal experience with Alex was great, I did my first track alignment with Alex. The experience turned out to be amazing, where he ensured me to have the right alignment the day of my track day without additional cost.

He would pour knowledge to me about how to build a reliable track machine.

Since my first visit, I decided to come back to the shop to install performance mods that I could not do at home on my driveway.

Hoping in the future, Alex would give out some AHR stickers, so we can represent the shop on the track!

Ps: the price is extremely reasonable for the performance that's required on the track. If you want a taste of motorsports this is the shop where you need to go to.

Update: The BRZ ran into RTV issue, AHR was able to drop the oil pan to inspect the issue. Alex took out his liberty to help me to get in contact with Subaru and his time to do a service on the car with free of charge. Hard to find honest business anywhere in...

Let me start with saying I had After Hours Racing repair my exhaust manifold welds and tap my tmic for an IAT sensor. This same manifold was repaired by eurowise twice... They couldn't get it right and I kept having issues with welds cracking, so I was recommended by a close friend to try After Hours. They're very detail oriented and have answers to all my questions, backed by personal experience and grade A knowledge. I ran by a couple costly ideas I had for my STi, most shops would say yea we can do that, then proceed to charge you for as much as they can. After Hours instead asked of my future goals with the car and broke down the pros and cons of my ideas. Instead of spending money where I wouldn't greatly benefit, they advised to go with other options that would save me time and money in the long run. I first read the reviews before I made a visit and I was not disappointed! Alex was very quick and thorough with inspecting the leaks my car had. First, he quoted me for parts and labor 2 times less what I was quoted at another shop. Then he helped me understand that my car's motor was on its last legs, and advised strongly against me spending any more money on the car - even if it would have been an easy job for him, telling me the quoted job was not the best option and gave me some way cheaper, more practical options. To top it all off, he also didn't charge me for some minor work due to my difficult situation, which was a very nice gesture.
