Bukky African Hair Braiding and Weaving — Local services in Charlotte

I called to schedule an appointment for braids. They answered and was very short and I was told they only had an appointment available in about 3 weeks on 3/24/24 at 1:30 pm. I said okay I would like that appointment. I was told to cash app $30 and they said goodbye I immediately asked how and who do I send it to. They replied send it to this number. I was hesitant but because of the great reviews I went forward. I sent $30 through cash app as requested but never received a confirmation or call back. Mind you I was never asked for any information because they was trying to get off the phone quickly. A week later I called back and was told they didn’t receive anything and I sent a screenshot of the transaction. I was asked why I was calling if I sent the money and replied for confirmation. After sending the screenshot They replied this was not their number and they only use one phone number. If you look on their site it has multiple numbers. I said okay I will cancel it when is the next available appointment. I was told they did not have another appointment available. I was able to cancel the transaction but Very unprofessional and I have been waiting for 2 weeks for this...

After searching for a great hair braiding business on Google, I found Bukky and so glad I did!! I reached out to her via Facebook Messenger and she responded promptly with all of the answers to my questions. I didn’t have to search anymore as I was so pleased with the reviews and her quick response. Unfortunately, I ran into a little issue in arriving on time, but Bukky was so pleasant and patient regardless of me being a few minutes late. When I arrived, she made me feel right at home and her business space was very clean.

We chatted with each other like we’ve known each other for years lol and she braided & styled my hair exactly as I asked via pictures. She was fast, didn’t braid too tight, and was very thorough with braiding my hair with care. I haven’t had box braids since the 90’s and was a little anxious because of that, but Bukky did an excellent job and I’ll definitely be returning to her anytime I need a braided style. This is one of the best hair braiding experiences I have ever had. I called around 8:15 to see if she could squeeze me in. She said she could take me at 1:30. I came at 1:30 she and her daughter were finishing up the person before me. I did not have to wait at all. Her daughter began to prep my hair. She did grab a bite to eat, but her daughter had already started prepping me, so it wasn’t a problem at all. I got small ombré knotless braids and it took them 4 hours! That’s all! my parts are neat and concise. She paid close attention to the texture of my hair and didn’t add too much hair to cause my hair to break.
