I have been doing my own hair forever. I have not gone to a salon in about 3 years bc I struggle with thinning hair. Bc of the thinning, I wear clip in human hair extensions to add fullness. After researching stylists, i read good reviews and saw great vivid colors with her work, I decided to face my fears and I booked a color correction service and went to my appointment on October 15th. My goal was to go to a mushroom brown color from a faded green. I purchased brand new blonde hair extensions to help the process, instead of her trying to correct green extensions too.

I was aware that green is difficult to work with, which I why I chose to go to a professional this time. She did a vitamin c treatment and toned my green hair twice. The color appeared to be brownish with some green showing. I didn’t mind some green showing bc I understood that it’s a color correction and it might not be perfect. However, my blonde hair extensions came out purple and silver with no signs of brown. I assumed the extensions would at least match the brownish result in my real hair and I was in shock. The lighting in the salon made it hard to tell what exactly my hair color was. I paid and left. When I got home I noticed just how bad it was. Extremely multi colored with more green than expected, purple, silver and a tint of brown. I reached out to let her know that I was unhappy with the result, especially paying what I did. I was happy to pay whatever amount to get the goal brown color I had asked for. But I didn’t get the hair I paid for. I got the opposite. After reaching out she offered to tone the extensions more, but if I wanted her to redo it she wanted to charge me. I literally just wanted brown and for it all to match. I’m embarrassed about my hair now. I feel robbed and cheated. If she didn’t think she could achieve the goal color, I wish I was at least informed. I didn’t want purple. My hair looks ridiculous now. I went to 2 different salons and asked for a second opinion and they were baffled with what happened. They were confused just as much as I am about the purple. My friends all think my hair looks terrible. She ruined my hair extensions and I don’t trust her anymore to go back to this salon. Beware of the no refund policy bc it’s probably in place bc of situations like this. I will say, she did respond for a little bit about my concerns after. But she in no way owned up and was accountable for her mistakes during my service. My hair is a mess now and needs another color correction just to fix her service. I’m honestly just heartbroken with the results and I just wanted a brown color.

The positive: Her salon was cute and clean. I love the hair cut and the damage repair treatment she did. But the color is just…. Awful.

I paid over $200 for my extensions I paid $475 (not including tip) for my now ruined hair And now I’ll need to pay for another color correction at another salon.

All of this just to go brown.. it’s not about a refund. It’s about getting what I paid for and I absolutely did not. I will never recommend this salon. Her name is on my head right now and I will spread the word about what a disaster this was. I’m super disappointed. Ever since my appointment, I have been angry and depressed. I was trying to treat myself. I was trying to make a step towards a more natural and healthy look with my hair and this is what happens.

I've been going to Megan for years now, I absolutely love her! She is such a pleasure to be around. She has such a vast knowledge of her craft--I place complete confidence in her with everything hair related. She's given me various vivid hair colors, pixie cuts and undercuts over the years (so much fun) and has done am excellent job lately of helping me transition back to my natural color as I grow my hair back out. She does a great job educating the client on matenience and proper hair care. She offers quality products and I love that she never tries to upsell me on something I don't need like so many other salons have in the past! If she reccomends a product or treatment, you definitely won't regret following her advice. I never knew it was possible to have such healthy feeling hair and still have fun with colors until her! Her expertise and concern for preserving hair health is underrated. The salon is also super cute and full of personality. I also love that I can trust them to do everything in their power to keep their customers and themselves safe during such uncertain times. They take cleanliness very seriously. 10/10. I have been seeing Megan for a bit over a year right now for my haircuts. She is absolutely wonderful in every way possible. I was always super anxious cutting my hair, because in the past I have found a lot of hairstylists want you in and out of their chair, and don’t listen very well. Megan has always taken the time to listen to me despite me being extremely specific and picky. She is nice, always asks before taking off any hair, and will always give you any time needed to check out what she did and make sure everything is perfect. She also goes above and beyond at times, teaching me how to deal with my hair type. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable, cool, and very accepting no matter who you are and what you want.
