Hands DOWN one of the absolute best tattoo parlors I have ever been too!!! I literally came all the way from California for this. Just to start from the first moment I called to make an appointment the person who answered and helped me set up an appointment for my sister and me, I believe their name is Nick, was so amazing and friendly and so welcoming!! He made sure that everyone in that shop felt comfortable. My tattoo artist Harrison, or hptattooer, was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! He was so easy to talk to about designs and made me feel super comfortable about everything. He let me mess around with placements and details as much as I wanted and never once made me feel like I was being annoying, which is exactly how it should be but he exceeded all expectations! He had such precision and perfect attention to detail!! Not to mention it didn't hurt one bit because he has such a light touch to his work!! my experience at the gilded unicorn was amazing! our artist daniel was able to conveniently work me and my sister in at the end of the day during my visit to charlotte and worked with equal efficiency and patience. he took the time to adjust our tattoos until they were perfect and i couldn’t be more happy. the owner was also so kind and hung out with us during our visit. the conversation made the time go by and we felt so welcomed and comfortable. as for the building itself, it’s a small business park and looks a little plain on the outside but when you walk inside and upstairs, it’s a beautiful, clean, modern space. it has so many cute spots to sit, lots of natural light from the abundance of windows, a tv for entertainment, and drinks too! such a fun, collaborative space that feels genuinely welcoming and comfortable. you can tell the people who are there have worked hard to get there and care about their clientele. we will definitely be returning when we’re ready for our...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If I could give this establishment 100 stars I would!!! The experience from start to finish was wonderful and professional. My best friend and I came in as walk ins to get small matching tattoos to commemorate the ending of her birthday trip, Kevin did our tattoos and he definitely delivered! We love our tattoos. Additionally, I ended up leaving my purse at the shop and Nick reached to let me know, which was amazing because I hadn’t even noticed I didn't have it. We were already 2 hours down the road on our way back home and traffic was terrible so I instantly started to panic on the inside and without me asking Nick advised that he would make sure he got my purse to me.
