It was a 30 minute drive but well worth the experience! I will return for the pork AND chicken torcino, longanisa, empanadas and a multitude of other goodies. My first Filipino experience was traveling for business when I was introduced to Seafood City in Irvine CA....I'd been in search ever since and this is as close as you'll get when it comes to their cuisines. The staff was extremely helpful and encouraging when it came to help finding anything and making suggestions. Very personable and welcoming which is true to their culture. The place was intimate, small yet very clean and well stocked...I will definitely be going back, well worth the drive! Read moreWe passed by this Filipino Mart and met the owners, Drey and Suzanne Horne, who graciously let us in to shop for a couple of minutes beyond their regular open hours. We took home ready-cooked food and delicacies. Frozen seafood, cooking mix, and Filipino canned items imported from the Philippines. With them were Suzanne's daughter and another Filipina. Read moreThis place is awesome for getting Filipino brands and foods somewhat locally. I wish it were bigger and had more selection but it's still amazing for it's size. I found Sinigang soup mix and real lumpia (that I don't have to make from scratch!!!) Along with an awesome sweet chili sauce.... It reminds me of awesome times going to visit my now husband in Manila.
If you like Filipino food come patronize this store so they can grow bigger! We need more Filipino options in...
