I travel over 90 miles from Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC just for Halal Kitchen Ink—and let me tell you, it’s worth every single mile. This isn't just a food truck; it's a full-blown culinary experience on wheels.

From the moment you step up to the window, you’re greeted like family. The service is top-tier, fast, friendly, and professional. But let’s talk about the real star: the food. The flavors are phenomenal. Whether it's the juicy lamb over rice, perfectly seasoned chicken, or that mouthwatering white sauce they should bottle and sell—it’s all cooked to perfection, fresh, and Halal-certified.

You can taste the love and pride in every bite. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the consistency? Impressive every single time.

This place has officially ruined all other food trucks for me. If you're in the Charlotte area—or even hours away like I am—make the trip. Halal Kitchen Ink isn’t just good, it’s destination-worthy.

🔥 Pro Tip: Order ahead. They get BUSY...

Absolutely five-star experience at this amazing Halal food cart! The chicken over rice with white sauce and falafel is hands-down one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The chicken was tender, perfectly seasoned, and complemented beautifully by the flavorful yellow rice. The falafel was crispy on the outside yet soft and packed with flavor on the inside. And the generous drizzle of white sauce brought everything together with a rich, creamy finish that’s hard to resist.

What truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. Mohamed, who served us, was exceptionally kind and attentive. He made us feel welcomed and ensured our food was served fresh and exactly to our liking. The portion size was impressive, and each bite was pure satisfaction.

If you’re in the area and craving authentic, delicious Halal food, this cart is a must-visit. Between the quality of the food and Mohamed’s warmth and friendliness, it’s a culinary experience worth coming back for again and again. Highly...

If I could give this place a 0 star I would! What a terrible experience! We were ordering food to go and when we asked for lamb kabob they said they did not have any kabobs. Then we asked for chicken over rice assuming that it would be chicken in the form of a kabob or bone in or grilled! Y'll it was GROUND chicken! What?!?! And it was probably 3 ounces or less, cooked in 5 minutes from out order so you know it was pre-made! With extremely watered down yogurt sauce or pathetic attempt at Taziki or just plain nasty.... I have never left a review like this for halal food truckers because they are trying to provide a unique service. But this is so awful. It went into the trash. It wasn't even enough food for one person. The rice was also not cooked properly and was raw or crunchy in the center. Also asking your friends to review is probably the only way they have such high stars and we noticed that their trailer had a boot on it! Like WHAT?!?...

As halal food lovers we’re always trying new halal food trucks no matter how far we have to drive, Halal Kitchen INK was about 90 miles from where we live anyways, when we got there first thing I’ve noticed was the setup they have, looks like they don’t move much which means No cleaning, which also explains the mess outside and it was dirty inside as well. Now the food, food comes in big take out box but don’t let the box fool you because half of it was filled with lettuce, rice and meat was minimum amount and taste was very bland. We also ordered Philly cheese sandwiches, again the meat was very little amount and tasted salty. Overall Halal Kitchen INK is a below average halal food truck and they really need to focus on their cleanliness. Customer service is fine.

Just went with husband after going to other one a lot and wanted to try something new. Just wow. I got chicken over humus and it was so good and fresh and hummus was so good! Husband got mixed plate (chicken and lamb) over rice. It was so good def our new favorite. Huge portion of salad and the plate is twice the size than other places AND IT came with pita! Update: we’ve been back several times since and it’s consistently amazing still. Just ate there and it was so good! Update: 9/29/25 we’ve been here with various people many times and it’s always good!
