Been there many of times the work has been great this particular time the girl did a good job on the styling that was Friday left out of shop 3:30 Saturday morning at 10 I was back at the shop because the hairstyle did not hold up this was a quick weave so yeah the glue did not hold her method of gluing was different but like I said I did like the hairstyle.Saturday the instructor instructed another student to touch it up they were going to sew it in I really didn't want It would have brought human hair for sew in not blended hair for sew in that's the only reason why I did not want it prior to returning Saturday morning I did call and leave a message I got my hair done March the end of March the last week of March and I received a phone call a week later I took the hair out Sunday because it wasn't holding she did offer me to come back in and to have my hair sew in at my expense. I think that my hair should have been done again at the shop expense (hell I told her I have hair) because it didn't hold up 24 hours the instructor that was on that Saturday that instructed the girl to touch up my hair she act like she didn't want her to even do that it was other things that the girl could have done to fix it that Saturday but the instructor gave looks like glue it back down and let's send her on her way. like I said and I hope that you girls are reading this definitely the instructor that was in there that Saturday you are supposed to instruct you should have came over there and figured out what else needed to be done to fix it. I was satisfied with the hairstyle it just didn't stay in 24 hours and the phone call that was made to me on Wednesday April 4th she could have kept that phone call calling me asking me if I wanted to come back in and I got to pay for it again because the glue wasn't going to hold I'll because I don't have edges lol. This place is horrible I would not recommend anyone going there. I initially went in for a shampoo and braids. I spent two hours there and came out with my hair in a bun because the young lady tangled my hair up so bad (then the young lady told me to detangle my hair and I told her no that is what I'm paying her for) I was told to come back tomorrow. When I went back the next day the young lady said she could not braid my hair (so I just done a blow out) before the young lady started to blow out my hair the instructor told her do not use heat protective on my hair (which I end up telling the young girl to use heat protective). The instructors would not help the student at all they sat in the back. I am not sure who these instructors are or who is the owner is but this school need some different instructors. I initially paid 35.00 for a shampoo and braids (which I end up not receiving braids) the next day had to end up paying another 25.00 what a rip off. If I could give them a no rate I would have. Today i had the pleasure of being styled by Adrianna. I was a first time client at The Dooby Shop. I had really let my hair go and desperately needed a lock retwist. Not only was Adriana kind and sensitive to the condition of my hair, but she took her time and educated me on what i could do to improve the state of my hair. She checked in often with me to make sure I was comfortable while untangling my outgrown locs and she communicated very efficientlywith anything she was going to do.. She did a beautiful job styling it as well. It was a very busy day being that it was the day before Thanksgiving and it was only herself and another student on the clinical floor doing hair. She maintained professionalism and an upbeat disposition through the rush of the day. I highly recommend her to anyone who could come and be seen by her.
