Received disappointing customer service after we had informed the barista it was our first time visiting and how we were excited to try their one of their signature tea drinks of which we paid happily and proceeded to wait while enjoying the atmosphere while smelling the enriched coffee bean aroma. However, after we noted it had been 15 minutes we checked in on the order and noted the barista was very busy and assumed our order would surely be ready momentarily, however that was not the case in fact our order after 30 minutes of waiting was noted to have been totally omitted by the barista at which we was totally surprised at this revelation and immediately requested a refund. The seemingly manager or team lead tried to correct the problem, however we were shocked at the disrespect and proceeded with the refund request. In the end we were looking forward to establishing a long lasting customer relationship as well as offering recommendations to family and friends. The customer service received was unexpected and highly disappointing and add insult to injury the barista chimed in after the refund was being processed and say " it was for 2, right"?...unbelievable! I'm a recent transplant, and this place immediately became my new living room.
Upon walking in you'll be surround by vintage memorabilia celebrating black roots and culture, and most likely be greeted by a friendly and vibrant group of people who want to know your name, how you're doing, and where you've been!
You could be invited to sit and chat about new city happenings, or historic people, places, and events that will endear you to the Queen's City in ways you hadn't yet considered.
I was enriched by my time with regulars Jackie, Ken, and Chris today, and just can't possibly scream how beautiful a soul the owner is!
Please be intentional about making the trip and inquring about all the community development work planned in partnership with Archive. I promise, you won't regret it!!!
