I went here with my friend on Tuesday. Our first impressions was that the staff was friendly. We were informed of a sale of âbuy one clothing item, get one free.â I found two clothing items that I liked and the total was $6. When I was checking out I handed the woman at the register a 20 dollar bill and then another 4 ones (I was trying to end up with a $10, but I did the math horribly wrong. I think one of my worst brain farts, lol). When doing this, the register said the change due was $18, the lady at the register looked at it and murmured â$18âŚthatâs weird,â and me, thinking the machine was old (I skipped math class for a reasonâŚokay?), headed out to my car with my friend. Once we got in the car, my brain seemed to suddenly turn on at 11:00am, as I realized something wasnât right. My friend and I did the quick math and realized the register was right! We headed back inside and received our $8 back. The weird thing was that the woman didnât apologize, and as soon as we walked back inside, she headed right towards the register to give us our money. I find it odd and very upsetting that I wasnât corrected and given my right amount. I understand I made an embarrassing math mistake, but itâs the person at the register job to make sure I receive what is mine⌠Another thing is that there was no apology or anything. I believe this woman knew she was taking from us and didnât want to correct our mistake. I donât want to return and the last few moments in the store are...
Read moreWent to the rak for the first time on Friday October 23 at 10:30am walked in it seemed so nice things Looks good and almost brand new. we were not greeted when we walked in no smile no friendly hello? I thought it was odd but kept going because I seen so many nice things sitting about. I went to go ask a question about a dvd box set and a shelf I was going to purchase, I went and asked the person at the counter if it was 2$ for the whole box set or 2$ a dvd and she turns and say hmmmm well umm 2$ a CD as I was walking back to check to see if the shelf had a price tag, before I even got over to the shelf I hear the lady at the counter say itâs 2$ a disc how else would we make any money and laughed and continued to whisper under her breath as I checked the box sets only to find that a disc was missing. But just so I didnât have to talk to the lady at the counter and after that type Of attitude I took my 25$ voucher and left the store I would rather pay for a Walmart brand shelf then get treated the way I did at this store. Would give a zero...
Read moreI made my first visit to The Rak on 9/25/20 to donate a few tricycles my son has outgrown. I appreciate the storeâs mission and purpose but will never return here to donate and cannot recommend to anyone to make a purchase. I was completely floored by the attitude of one of the staff when I asked if I could donate the tricycles. She didnât smile or say hello and behaved as though my presence and donation was an inconvenience. I first brought in two of the tricycles then asked this person if I could bring a third and she shrugged and replied, âWeâll, weâre taking these we might as well take that one too.â If I had known it was such a bother to this staff person to donate, I wouldâve gone elsewhere. I left the store feeling let down and hurt when all I wanted to do was help. Regardless, I hope the tricycles find their way to a new home to happy...
