Serenbe was very relaxing. It rained the entire 4 days we were there & I imagine there would have been more noise if everyone could have gotten out. We stayed in the Magnolia #26 cottage as there were 2 separate units in the house. Ours was the smallest with only the bedroom with a small fridge, sink & coffeemaker & bathroom with a separate shower & tub & double vanity, both were very large & accommodating. Also had a small patio that mostly faced the parking lot. The other part of the cottage had large screened patio, bedroom, living room with fireplace & small kitchenette area with small fridge & sink. Parking was not really close to the room but there were sidewalks. The parking area was not large but enough for 4 or 5 cars plus handicap cement pad if everyone parked correctly! Noise was not a problem but when neighbors lit the fireplace you could smell smoke in our room. Not a lot to do for adults other than relax, eat & take walks. Lots of animals to see & feed after all you are in the country with lots of bugs. So if excitement is what you are looking for this is not for you.

This is a true treasure. Many things in this world are complicated and challenging - Serenbe is not. It’s straightforward and a beautiful retreat. Visited from NYC and it is a wonderful reminder that simplicity is beautiful. I appreciate all of the design considerations and thoroughly love the notion that it isn’t commercialized. Go visit. It’s beautiful.

Great place to spend a day in the country. The Hill restaurant is great and there are lovely trails to hike. Also, the petting farm is fun for kids but now is reserved for guests at the inn. That said, I think they have a don't ask, don't tell policy if you want to take your kids there to see the animals and bounce on the trampoline.

It's a shame what happened to this place. It used to feel so welcoming. I would visit, walk the trails, eat at a restaurant or shop at the stores. But my last visit I noticed the overall vibe of the place had changed. There were now signs that read "Trails for residents only." In their little general store, the workers glared at me like I was an intruder. The whole place was like that. I was an "outsider" and how dare I sully the atmosphere with my plebeian presence. I actually felt relieved when I left. So long Serenbe. You had a good thing,...

Don't know what to make of this development. It looks good in spots. Lots of new construction going on. Limited commercial stores available. Don't know where one would go to get groceries - or even gasoline for that matter. Hil on the Hills restaurant is pretty nice. Interestingly they don't have tomatoes unless they are in season at the...
