Aunt Margaret’s — Local services in Chelmsford

Nice shop, lots of yarn choices just a bit high in price so out of my personal price range. Maybe you can afford skeins with these prices but I just can’t. Other yarn stores that are similar are all pretty higher in prices so this is about the same unless it’s a big box store.

As far as the store itself, warm nice environment customer experience wise, the employee welcomed you and gave you a first initial can I help you etc. Very nice first impression.

There were swatches to see or items made from some of the yarn to reference. Some other little gadgets such as accessories I’ve seen on Amazon or Temu and prices seemed a bit higher in this store, ex needles, extras, accessories.

Looks like they have classes so this may be your place.

Parking situation not the best. A bit congested and spots are tiny.

My favorite Mother-in-law was smiling down from heaven today. She would be thrilled that I am taking knitting classes at Aunt Margaret's because Joan, and "Margaret" were hockey mom's, and good friends. Joan took classes for years. Margaret was a lovely lady, and Judy whose taken the shop over is just as lovely. Aunt Margaret's has a new owner and the atmosphere has changed. Rosie is very welcoming and helpful. I no longer hesitate to go in to Aunt Margarets. She has everything you could want in the way of yarn and is only too happy to help you select what you need. I am thrilled to have a yarn store nearby that I look forward to going into.
