Efficient but there's one worker who is there every day that I avoid like the plague. He's so miserable and rude that I genuinely hate going to this location. I thought maybe it was just me but my husband has had the same experience every time he goes as well. This past time, we went in to get our son a passport. Once we arrived we discovered passport hours are different than regular hours and we missed the window. My husband walked over to the (miserable) employee to ask him a simple passport related question (mind you, we discovered the hours on a poster hanging up so it's not like we bothered this guy before). He had a smug, cocky, arrogant look on his face and answered in a rude tone while giving a little laugh like we were idiots for not knowing the answer. When my husband asked another question just to clarify, he actually gave his head a little shake and laughed. Pardon us for not knowing all there is to know about the postal service. This employee has this same attitude every single time I go there. I try to see the good in everyone and I'm always polite but this guy is pushing it. There's another male employee there that's always helpful, jokes with my daughters, and is pleasant. I bolt for his window as much as possible. I have to go today and I'm dreading it. It's always...
Read moreToday was my third visit to this post office, and I think that gives me experience enough to say they are not knowledgeable about the services and are not pleasant to deal with.
The last time here I tried to file a request for refund for an overnight priority package that didn't arrive in time. After "talking to the postmaster" the clerk said I had file it online. The instructions online say you can only fill out a form at a branch. I tried to explain this, but it was futile. I called the USPS 800 number and confirmed they were completely wrong.
Today, all I needed to do was drop off a pre-paid package with a label I had printed at home. There are no supplies out for customers (the self adhesive clear bag to put the label in) but the clerk gave me a hard time for not taping it on instead of just giving me a holder. Come on. Twenty minutes in the line and you can't give me a break? You'll just stand there and watch me fumble around trying to get the label stuck on while the line of customers is still out the door?
If you only have to buy some stamps and don't mind dealing with an attitude like the "Soup Nazi", go ahead and try it. For me, totally not worth the aggravation. I'll drive the extra two miles and go to the Billerica...
Read moreWent in today to ship out a few packages and paid for shipping in advance online. Showed the shipping labels and the older gentleman at the counter looked at me as if he didn't know people come there to ship stuff. I thought the price I paid online included the envelope to ship in, and was notified it wasn't with a shake of the head and a laugh, even though I went in earlier in the week and was provided a box with the rate I paid. I purchased shipping envelopes and put the items inside. Gave the items to the clerk with the shipping labels, and was alerted that he wouldn't let me use the tape on the desk to adhere the label to the package. Mind you earlier in the week the other clerk was fine with securing a label to the package using USPS tape. Had to drop more money on tape because the guy didn't want to help me, you know - like someone assisting customers would do.
I've had similar experiences with the same guy in the past in this location. Others are much more helpful, but going in and seeing this guy working makes me want to turn around and go right to UPS or FedEx. Bad...
