Words will never express how grateful we were that Kevin Lear on Main stepped up to help us in a last-minute flower emergency (which, "flower emergency" doesn't sound like a thing, but give me a minute).

When Melton's called 24 hours before my father's funeral to tell us that our flowers (ordered early in the week) weren't going to be in, we were devastated. We called Kevin Lear on Main (not long before closing) and explained the situation, and we went into the shop to talk to them.

Kevin could not have been more comforting (and appalled that this could have happened to us). He told us that, what with it being Valentine's coming up, his stock that day was mainly red roses and he had greens he could use (remember: this is the day before the service, just before closing, so he obviously wouldn't have been able to place a whole new order for us). We said yes, please, do what you can.

We ordered two sprays. When we asked about a third arrangement, an arch in front of the table as had been recommended to us, he told us that he loves to do a nice wreath for around the urn.

Let me tell you: We are so grateful that he suggested this. It was stunning and tasteful. It was my favorite floral arrangement out of all the different flower arrangements that were up there.

At the last minute, they were able to make Husband and Father sashes for the sprays. They truly made this special, and had to scramble to do it. I would trust them to get anything done, done right, done on time, and done with taste and compassion. If I were planning a wedding, I would not go anywhere else because I would trust that they'd come through.

I still can’t get over how incredible everything looked. His work speaks for itself.
