My wife's Eastern North Carolina grandmothers were great cooks. Eating here, I felt like it was 30 years ago when they were in their culinary prime and they got together and planned a meal for the whole town. Vegetables (turnip greens, green beans among others) were fantastic. Salad bar had home grown sliced tomatoes. Fried chicken, barbecue (pork, you're in SC) and stewed beef was just like the best I've had in this part of the world. It has been a tradition for a little while now to go every Sunday after church and it's a highlight of my week 🤣 They serve southern cooked meals on buffet and there's always a different variety of things to pick from for my picky eaters. Their fried corn bread will make you want to slap your mama! I recommend going right when they open (11:00am) or waiting until about 1:00pm because this place is always packed out the door. It's also pretty affordable as well since our family of four can eat for about $40 but I think it's worth every penny. Definitely should try this out...
