Your Village STL: Play Village — Local services in Chesterfield

If you are looking for a playroom for your kid’s birthday, I highly recommend this place. It is full of pretend games that kids (1- 6 yr old) would love to play with. We reserved a time slot in Feb for my daughter’s birthday. They showed me around and explained everything, pricing, their available themes and rules. The place was incredibly clean and organized. I was sure my daughter would love their toys. The reservation process was easy and electronic. You can see all available time slots on their website. They are also very responsive through phone call or email. For birthday events you have the whole place for yourself for 2 hours. They are available for any questions or requests. The place might look small but my quests and I loved it the way it is because you can watch the kids all the time. And it is actually big enough for a party of 20 kids. They have small tables and chairs for the kids and regular size ones for adults. I cannot emphasize on it enough, this place is perfect and kids love it. We like this play space and drive 30+ min from Soulard to go. We've been to open play, special Saturday events, and a weekly playgroup. On one special event Saturday that cost $18, we were all standing outside waiting for the place to open because no one was there. We waited 45 min, ringing the bell, calling, toddlers knocking on the window 😢 etc. in the end, we all left. She did give us a refund but it was a total waste of time since several of us had driven 30+ minutes.

The playgroup is ok most of the time but last week, I guess they forgot to close the rest of the playroom and people signed up to come. When they got there and were told the play space wasn't open and an error had been made, they were allowed to join the small playgroup in the tiny room. The room had about 25 people in it! Mind you, we are in this to gradually socialize an anxious toddler. He had to leave, obviously.

It just seems disorganized and haphazard. We won't be doing any more events...

I cannot sing Your Village’s praises enough! I have a medically complex/chronically ill child who has a care team of doctors of various specialties. I felt significantly more educated, prepared, and with a plan after 1 visit with Jen than I ever have with any of my son’s doctors combined… and we were there for sleep help! Not only did Jen solve our sleep issues but she’s been an AMAZING source of knowledge and support for my son’s other issues as well. I literally cried with relief and validation after our appointment, which is quite significant. We then had a birthday party there and the fact that the whole play place was ours during the party was beyond helpful. The kids had SO MUCH fun and we’ll definitely be doing it...
