Dynasty Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Chesterfield

We were told AFTER we placed our order that debit / credit was not accepted, even though they had signs stating otherwise.

Then we were told there were "no dinner specials" and the initial order was $46 for two main dishes, 2 orders fried rice, the side of crab rangoon, the egg rolls and egg drop soup. After pointing out on the menu, "this says dinner special . . ." they had the 1 american-speaking employee confirm, though not apologizing, it was rung-up incorrectly; new total was $27

Our order was ready in under 3 minutes.

I expressed concern about whether our food was fresh or done and was ASSURED its all made to order, they are simply that fast. I remarked that food of this nature cannot be fresh / cooked in under 3 minutes, asked for a refund and was denied.

We drove the 3 minutes back to our apartment -- my kung pao chicken was raw . . . literally bleeding and cold. The crab rangoon and egg rolls were freezer burned on the outside, still frozen in the middle. The sweet and sour sauce was watered down ketchup. The rice and fortune cookies were the only thing fresh and edible.

They otherwise advertise as "the best chinese food in Chesterfield." fat chance when your ingredients are either frozen, pre-made, undercooked / deadly and or...

I received a coupon and suggested my family try Dynasty for the first time. On the coupon it states mention the coupon when calling in the order, which our daughter did. When they went to pickup our order neither my daughter or husband had the coupon with them and it doesn’t state it must be present. They removed the Rangoon (free with purchase) from the bag which understandably frustrated my husband who expressed his disappointment with their decision to not honor the order. Our daughter loves Rangoon so she returned with the coupon shortly after the purchase (within 10 min). They asked why she was there after my husband stated he wouldn’t be returning and she advised she loves Rangoon and haded them the coupon. The man stated they were refusing service and would not honor the coupon and yelled at her all the way out of the restaurant and she returned home very upset. Disappointing first and last experience. Food was ok. Customer relations not so much. I’m sure they may respond to our experience with the same demeanor. Use your best discretion. All this over six...

Dynasty is good people and simply the best chinese restaurant in the area. I have tried all the others and they do not come close. Delivery is usually fast and they will bring it further than most pizza restaurants. You get alot of food for the money too. Its been my favorite take-out restaurant for 27 years and my family still orders from here at least every few weeks! No problems worth mentioning- its not always perfect but always above average.
