I really do give the food 5 stars. The bbq is some of the best I’ve ever had. Service was good, but could be better, but my biggest grievance is the price and no choices for kids. For 4 people it cost 103 dollars (with tip). My twins (11yrs old) only wanted Mac and cheese, and for a medium side it was 8 dollars a piece! When I said whoa, that’s too much for Mac and cheese alone, I asked if there was a kids menu…I was told not really. I’m not sure what that meant, but I asked my girls if they wanted a sandwich and to get a side of Mac and cheese with the sandwich. My husband got a rib plate and I got brisket plate. I about fell over when he told me the price after I added the tip. Keep in mind my son wasn’t with us. I can’t even imagine how much it would have been then. We recently went to Super Smokers in Eureka, and the food was 5 stars, the service was 5 stars, and the prices for all 5 of us with drinks and tip was $76.00. They had several kids choices, and the kids drinks were included. I got burnt ends and my husband got ribs as always, and it was well under a 100 dollars for a family of 5. Sadly, we won’t be back due to pricing and...

This was my first time to try the Stellar Hog. I heard about it when I asked one of the facebook “where I can get beef ribs in st. Louis”. What’s funny is that the reason I went there wasn’t the ribs nor the brisket. I felt like wings and my plan B if The Stellar Hog didn’t have wings was “don’t judge me “ Taco Bell’s wings. That was what I told them when I was ordering and they agreed that Taco Bell chicken was good. Going back to what I ordered, which was the half a pound of brisket, side of Mac n cheese and an order of wings. My favourite was the brisket, full of flavours, well seasoned, cooked perfectly and so tender. The Mac n cheese was good, a little too cheesy for me though. I liked how the macaroni was cooked and it was surely super creamy. The wings weren’t my favourite yet it didn’t mean it wasn’t good. But I’ll make sure next time I ask for wings from there, I’d request to have extra honey chipotle on the wings. I would definitely go back again and would recommend any meat lover to go visit. I know I need to try two things( the Rueben and...

Ill start with the service. The guys were nice and helpful. No complaints there. The atmosphere was alright. Chairs are a little whack but not a big deal. The kicker here is that the food was lackluster. It was 98 dollars for 3 guys to have lunch and an appetizer. I got the brisket sandwich. It was good but for the price I don't think it was worth it in my opinion. The fries were great though. The appetizers was a fried corn style dish. It had good flavor but for the price again it was very lackluster. They were out of ribs(what they are known for) on a Saturday at 2 so they must have been busy the day before I assume.

To summarize I don't think you shouldn't give this place a try. I just think for the price the quality is just not there. It was a disappointment in all honesty. The staff was great but the food was below average for what I would expect for a BBQ place. However, the redemption was fries and the flavor of the brisket...

We found the Hog while in Chesterfield shopping. We came up to St Louis to watch a soccer game and really wanted some BBQ. This eatery is tucked away in a weird spot but when walked in we were greeted with plenty of smiles and the staff was very helpful. We both got sandwiches, I got the rib and wife got the pulled pork. The hoagies were huge and we immediately had staff cut them in half so we could eat that later. We could of split one easily. The meats were perfectly prepared and very tasty. I really like that they have the old fashioned drinks. My Mac and Cheese was so creamy. Just the way I like it. Unfortunately my wife’s potato salad left something to be desired. It was very watery. It is a bit pricey but with the amount of meat they give you, chef said it’s about a half a pound, you’re gonna get two meals out of it unless you’re really hungry. Definitely worth a stop.

Wow Juiciest brisket I have ever had, hands down. Perfectly paired with a peppery bianca sauce, the white wall sandwich is the perfect sloppy vessel to house these strips of greatness. The ribs, too, are pretty good - glazed in a little sweet sauce, they come off the bone pretty easily. Not the greatest I've ever had, but pretty good. I myself didn't really care for their brussel sprouts, as they were covered with really sharp cheese, but the potato salad I did enjoy. ( I typically hate potato salad) The Cole slaw has a vinegary kick and isn't just a barrage of sugar, too, which is nice. In conclusion, GET THE BRISKET SANDWICH.
