Picked carpet out and was told that a person would be out to measure. A home depot rep showed up on 12-4-2019 and measured the room. I was wanting to get carpet installed before Christmas so I asked it that was possible. The rep. immediately got on the phone to call in the measurements. After several times of being rerouted to different people, she finally got in contact with the right person which was also a home depot rep. That person said yes, if the carpet was paid for before 12-6 than it would be installed before Christmas. We were eligable for free installation also. Paid for the carpet and was told that a person from the installation company "Hom Sollutions" would be in touch within the next few days to schedule the install. Waited 2 weeks and heard nothing. Finally called Hom Solutions and asked when they were going to schedule the install and that I was told it would be before Christmas. The Hom Solutions person told me that Cheyenne was considered a "remote area" and that they could not give me a installation date and there was no guarentees. I told Hom Sollutions that I was guarenteed a install before Christmas if I paid before the 6th. They told me that there was no way it would get installed before Christmas and that Home Depot and them do not communicate about install dates. Wow, was I surprised. Hom Sollutions did not give a $hit about what I was told and would not give me any info of even a estimated install date. Contacted Home Depot about the situation. A manager confirmed what Hom Solutions told me. She also said the Cheyenne is considered a remote area so there are not guarentees for install. Waited until the 1-7-2020, still nothing from Hom Solutions for a install date. Called Home Depot manager again. She called Hom Solutions. Hom Solutions ordered the carpet and the carpet came in but the job was cancelled on 1-6-2020. No calls from Hom Sollutions or Home Depot. Will never order anything of this nature again from Home Depot. There is no such thing as free install. The price of the install in figured into the price of the carpet. Went to the "Carpet Exchange" and ordered better quality of carpet, and have a install date within a week or as soon as the carpet comes in. Carpet, pad and install will be cheaper than Home Depot.... Beware of Hom Sollutions, they are out of Colorado and do not care about the Cheyenne area. Shame on Home Depot for using a company...
Read moreI was able to purchase $900 worth of tools for the department I work in. My company said I had to purchase from The Home Depot. I don't usually go there personally due to there location but here we go. First of all there's are allot of employees. I saw probably 1 per every 2 rows. When I employee were I could find a label maker he just stood there looking at me. I silently walked away to leave him in his trance and asked a second employee. He went to ask another person and said no they don't and I would have to order online. I then said ok and pulled up there website on my phone and verified they had done in stock. I then saw an employee with a hand held and asked him were I could find the part#. He then quickly pulled it up and I was on my way. I have never been to a Lowe's or a Menards that the employees didn't know were the exact item was located. I also found the store to be cluttered, unorganized and just doesn't make any sense on there layout. Who puts vehicle parts in the middle of the tools section? I must admit i got my share of walking done going from ends to end to find the right things. One last thing is there were 3 different isles I couldn't walk down with a cart due to item overflow, payable stairs and miscellaneous clutter. They have the employee workforce they just need to get a organized layout plan, safe places to store stuff instead of isles and efficient training. I won't be back which...
Read moreMajor issues with their flooring department. We are moving and wanted to install new carpet. We went in around the end of September and they had a promo where if you booked a carpet install, had measurements done, and ordered carpet you got the carpet pad for free. The promo was going to end before this could be completed for us but we were informed by 3 different employees that since we were starting the process while the promo was advertised they would be able to honor this for us when we went to purchase. Today we went in to get our quote finalized and again confirmed that we would be eligible for the promo, the employee assured us this would be no problem. Upon receiving the quote the promo had not been applied which made the project an additional $1,300. After speaking with the carpet quote department, flooring supervisor, and flooring manager we were told that the employees were incorrect and there must have been an error in training. No apology was given for their mistake and the only help we were offered was $300 off the full quote. I would stay as far away from this store for any actual work and do not trust a single employee because apparently they don’t know about store policies, aren’t trained on how their departments work, and when they tell you incorrect information no one seems to care and they have no interest in actually rectifying...
