Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in Chino

I spend a lot of money at this store, as we all do, and I am getting pretty tired of moldy potatoes, overripe avocadoes and grapes not being pulled from the shelves when each bag has been picked through. I'm tired of the poor meat cutting and the amount of fat I get charged for when I buy a high dollar steak. I'm tired of asking the baggers over and over again to stop stuffing my bags until they're 15-20lbs. One kid put 4 half gallons of milk and coffee milk in one bag! I'm 71 years old with arthritis, I can't carry them to my car let alone into my house. It's not like he can't see I'm an older person. I do not want to trek any further away to another Stater Bros, only to encounter the same thing. I will say though, I notice no matter what business you patronize in the IE, you get indifference, incompetence and poor customer service form younger employees. They'd better wake up and connect the dots of what I BUY to their paycheck. I can see why these kids bounce around from job to job because they can't keep them, but there's no excuse for managers to continue to ignore this trend. They fire one and hire another just as bad. Butcher shop is great - everything else is subpar. Fresh vegetables and fruit are overpriced, and they don't have bags for the vegetables anywhere along the wall -- you have to walk into another section of the department to obtain bags. Eggs are overpriced. Cheese is arranged in such a way that it's difficult to compare prices, i.e., at least 3 kinds of parmesan in 3 different locations. Yogurt of the same brand was not available behind the same door, but was displayed in different rows and columns -- again, making it very difficult to locate what you want and compare it to similar products; the value-price bread is cut far too thick and dry as a bone; bakery has far too many items that are made elsewhere and very little that is made in store -- particularly for pies or similar items. Really need to get the shopping cart wheel lock mechanism calibrated correctly. I went in the store for a very quick grocery run after class before work. Went around the entire store and then through checkout and on my way out my cart just locked and the antitheft device made a beep. I look around at employees for an explanation because I know I didn't steal anything. No one said anything. They just watched me try to figure what the heck was going on with my cart at the exit and finally a guy came over unlocked it and was not even going to say sorry or explain. I had to ask what was going on and he just laughed and said I don't know why it did that and walked off. Unbelievable. This is unacceptable and honestly makes me never want to shop here again.
