El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Chino

I ordered the new salad with double chicken, it looked delicious. I poured all the dressing and mixed it all up. The first 2 bites were pretty good but the 3rd one had a piece of chicken in it. The chicken was hard and dry. (Not at all the typical moist EPL chicken.) Thinking it was only a few, I began picking out the hard dry ones but it was all like that... gross! I took it to the counter and showed the girl, she waived over the Mgr. He looked at it, said NOTHING, walked over to the prep table, got a little cup & put chicken in it and brought it to me. No words, just set it on the counter and walked away. Then I realized much of my dressing was wasted on the gross chicken and had hubby go ask for another one and they acted like they were paying for it out of their own pocket. Unbelievable! I gave 2 stars for the food because once I got the fresher chicken, it was better. I shouldn't have had to pick out the hard, dry chicken to enjoy my meal. Horrible service at this location, we...

All around bad experience. To get to the point:

-I waited 10 minutes just to place my order (nobody was in line in front of me). -It took 8 minutes to get my food after placing my order. -They gave me the wrong item (I ordered an overstuffed birria Quesadilla and was given a burrito).

I didn't have any more time to lose, as I was on my lunch break, but the only credit I'll give them is that someone figured out there was a mistake & I was eventually given the right item, but by then, I was already halfway done with the burrito. Chips that came with my order were few (I counted 7).

What really makes me mad is that I'm pretty sure it was the manager who took my order, and never at any point was I given an apology or thanked for waiting, by him or anyone else. It's as if they either didn't acknowledge what had happened or didn't care. Won't be...

My First and last time I will be eating here. First of all, the lights on the outside was not turned on at 7:30pm. Didn't know if they were opened or not. I asked why the lights were turned off, and the guy in the front didn't know why. He said it was on a timer. And it took over 7 minutes before someone came to the front to take my order. And there wasn't anyone in the place. Didn't feel good about this place. They were already cleaning up the grill to go home. They put a sign up and said they were out of bone in chicken. How can you run a business that sells mainly chicken and not have it on hand. The owner needs to take a serious look and his employees and get rid of the ones that doesn't want to work there.
