I had an extremely disappointing experience with an older staff member with brown hair during my visit today. I sent my son inside after school to pick up his medication using our FSA card. Unfortunately, the staff member swiped the card and loudly announced, “It declined,” embarrassing him in front of others in line. No questions were asked, no effort was made to assist—he was simply dismissed in a rude and unprofessional manner.
Knowing that the FSA card was active and had sufficient funds, I immediately went inside to address the issue myself. After waiting in line, the same staff member asked for my information. When I requested that she try the card again, she suddenly asked for a PIN. She then began explaining the PIN requirement to the younger employee next to her. I asked why this same explanation was not given to my son, instead of embarrassing him publicly and turning him away. Her response was a rushed, insincere apology that gave the impression she did not care about how he was treated.
I am deeply concerned that my son was judged and mistreated because he is a young Black man wearing gym clothes. While I was in line, I observed the same staff member treating the three Caucasian women ahead of me with patience and courtesy. My son is the most mannerable, kind-hearted young man, ever. This treatment is disappointing. Never again will we use...
Read moreTHEY SHORT PRESCRIPTIONS! Monday 6/23/25 around 1:00 I went to pick up my prescription. The girl at the window looked at me like I was stupid, had a sarcastic and snooty tone of voice, and told me you're not due for a refill for 8 days" I said I wonder how that could be because I followed the directions on the containers. That's when she got really belligerent and said to me "oh you're questioning me huh"? And slammed the window in my face, started laughing with the other staff, went behind the counter and just stood there, eating and drinking leaving me outside the closed window she slammed shut. NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THAT BEFORE! Unless you want bad attitudes, unprofessional staff and the worst service ever DO NOT PATRONIZE KINGS DISCOUNT DRUGS. I'm a disabled veteran so I could go and get my medicine from the VA for free, but wanted to bring my money to a local business instead. Kings has ruined that now. I will be also notifying my insurance carrier, and requesting they remove kings off of their approved pharmacies list, as well as filing a formal complaint with the proper state government licensing agencies. I guess the tech that treated me so badly didn't see the camera that was pointed directly at her recording the...
Read moreI try to give most places the benefit of the doubt, but we give this place a lot of business and have been for very many years. My husband comes in there at least once a month and I went through the drive through the other day and patiently waited my turn. The lady in front of me was taking a longtime. (Maybe that is why the guy took his anger out on me), Idk, but he told me that I was going to have to come in. So I sat in my car until I built up the courage, bc I knew he was angry, and so when I went in, I waited under the consultation sign, no one else was inside near the pharmacy, the girl that was working the drive through started trying to help me while he was standing there. So when I tried to answer her questions he said ma'am she can't help you right now she's running the drive window. You're going to have to come back. So I just said that I would take my families business somewhere else. I came inside and left the drive up window, like he told me, I didn't say anything until I was spoken to, while I was waiting under the consultation window. I did everything he asked me to do and still left...
