A nostalgic aroma and overall feeling of warmth greet you when you enter Mountain View Mercantile. The shop gives new life to a historic building in the heart of Christiansburg. It makes me so happy to see this building getting the attention that it deserves!

It's overwhelmingly evident how much love that Kim, the shop owner, has poured into Mountain View Mercantile. I enjoyed checking out everything she has to offer in her shop. Vintage homewares, locally handmade goods, fresh flowers ... Mountain View Mercantile is THE place to stop when you want to pick up a very special Appalachian gift.

I highly recommend stopping in this adorable local shop to enjoy all that it has to offer ... from the charming history of the building itself (once a local grocery store- with some original shelves still intact!) to the unique merchandise to the featured artist of the month to the vintage ice box with soda pops in classic glass...

This shop feels like a love letter to Appalachia. There is obviously a lot of care that goes into this shop’s curation (from the vintage items to the local handmade goods). Highly recommended for a unique, whimsical gift or for an afternoon of treasure hunting with your bestie.
