Bargain Smart — Local services in Citrus Heights

It's been years since I've been here, so I was a little apprehensive due to so many changes in the economy and my experiences at similar stores over the years. Let me just say, this place is as good as ever! I have been to most bargain/open box stores from Roseville to Arden. So I can truly say that Bargain Smart is literally the only one where you know you're actually getting a good deal. It's also clean and organized, which is very hard to find with bargain stores. There were a lot of younger people working here, and unlike most places, they were all super friendly, knowledgeable, and working hard. I ended up leaving with items for 3 other people who couldn't make it to the store themselves. Everyone couldn't believe the deals I was finding! I'll be back soon, and my friends/family will be visiting for the first time as well. Skip the auction and that cheap quality/overpriced tool store (H.F.) and come...

This is one of my favorite stores nearby. The stock changes regularly so there's always something neat and unexpected, and the prices are really good. The spray paint selection is pretty epic and if you can't find something, the employees are knowledgeable and happy to help. They post ads on Craigslist every once in a while and their big terra cotta pots are worth going in for before they sell out--if you see that one, go in right away or you will miss them.

I locked my keys in my car today while I was there and everyone was extremely kind. They made sure I was comfortable while I waited for rescue. My car was in one of their best parking spots in a busy lot on a busy day of the week and I was worried they might get annoyed but it never seemed to occur to them--they brought me a chair to sit in while I was waiting....

Gotta love this place and it's prices! Every time I come here I find all kinds of things I need, all priced super low. I've purchased everything from tape to paint to tools to storage boxes to bunji cords to knives and rock hounding equipment .

At first I thought things priced this low would be all junk, but I often find deals on well-known, quality brands (DeWalt and Vise grip for example). Last month, we picked up a bunch of quality brand $20+ drill bits for $3 each...

Their stock changes as they get new deals on things and sell out on others so it's definitely worth visiting every few weeks.
