This place is absolutely amazing.
Upon entering: Greeted right away. Order was taken and explained very well, confirming my order and making sure my order was correct.
Restaurant cleanliness: Excellent. As a matter of fact, when I walked in, someone was sweeping up as soon as I walked in. All tables were exceptionally clean. All other areas, including the salsa bar were wiped off and kept up very well. Bathroom was very clean as well.
Service: Again, as ordered, they delivered to my table, made sure everything was right. They also include chips w/bean dip, which may I add was very good.
FOOD!: Ok, I have been to a ton of Mexican food restaurants, this one trumps them all. The food, specifically the Carne Asada was so good in my burrito, the flavors just ran through my entire mouth. The salsa's from the salsa bar were excellent as well and tasted homemade. I mean, this food was so tasty that I could not stop taking bites. Amazing food and I am super picky about everything.
Overall: Upon leaving, after I ate everything, I was lucky enough to meet the owner. He was very nice and asked me how everything was. I let loose with "Oh man, and smiled "This place is amazing, the food tastes so good". He immediately talked about the freshness and believed him. This place is legit/dope(teen words), the place to go if you are super hungry and craving Mexican food.
This "hole in the wall", "sleeper" is so good, you will not believe it unless you go.
Try it out amigos!
Also, I did see a ton of Mexican folks in there, and that my friend, is a good sign!
Enjoy everyone. You will be back, as I will be visiting again for sure with a bunch of folks.
Thank you again Panchito for bringing Mexican restaurants back to life. You are really doing...
Read moreThis gonna be my new go-to I think. Back in the day, I thought Beto's on El Camino was the sheet. Then the old Dairy Queen on Auburn Blvd turned into a Beto's and I felt blessed (live close). Then it just started to go downhill. More expensive, and less quantity (quality consistent. Then I started going to that place qcross from the former Sylvan Middle school (Gilberto's), which, basically has the same menu. But after being open awhile, your basic bc burrito started feeling more like a pinner as the price just kept going up. They still got a lock on the sour cream-based salsa though (no match...yet, besides Betos). Anyways, Panchitos has a quality bc burrito, as in home made beans and tortilla like the ones on the street, for less money and is delish.places. Other places are hitting like $7,$8 or even $9 which seems really high. I like the way they make the rice (my wife not so much), but she's hard to please, Asian (rice eater, lol), but loves the 3 street taco plate (I gotta admit, it was good, we're not talking about three taquitos from a fryer; that meet was juicy, seasoned and flavorful). Nicer in-dining, with good A/C and the staff has been insanely friendly the three times I've been in there. I like taking my family there. It's chill. Staff is chatty and smiley,, it almost feels like family, Welcoming. Looking forward to...
Read moreWow! Delicious! We live close by , so my wife and decided to try this place out for the first time. My wife was a little hesitant due to the exterior and she is an extremely picky person so for her to approve of this place speaks volumes! We both got the tostada bowls. She got Carne Asada and I got the carnitas. I almost ordered Carne Asada as well because the menu didn’t show that you could get other meats of your choice but luckily the cashier informed me of that. We got the order to go and it took maybe 5 minutes from the time we ordered. She offered us some kind of pork sauce to dip the free chips in and we took it. Everything tasted fresh. They give you big portions as well! I think the carnitas is the best I’ve ever had. Very tender and moist and just the right seasoning. I kept telling my wife , “this is delicious”! The place is not fancy by any means as far as looks but they make up for it in exceptional customer service, quality and flavor! We will definitely be back to try something else even though the tostada bowl was amazing! The cashier was very friendly and welcoming. If I don’t have my food served to me by a waitress I don’t normally tip the cashier of a restaurant but she was so friendly I did when paying....
