Purchased two leather sofas less than 2 years ago from previous owner (Mike) for over $4,000. They had lifetime warranty on them for certain things and the new owner (Adam) had the couches picked up because the issue was covered under it.
During pick up, his movers did not handle the couch with care at all. They drug it down the metal screen door and scratched the front of my couch and they dropped my couch on the cement and drug it across it trying to pick it up again. It ripped the entire underside edge of my couch. Scratched the entire front part of them. Not once did they admit to it or anything. They tried to pretend it didn't happened until I reached out immediately with video recording of the incidents.
The same day, we went by the store to check in on the repair of the couch, and the manager said that he would personally thoroughly inspect the couch for any damage that could've been done. He said the couches would be returned to the house in an hour or so. They arrived with the damage caused by his employees is still there.
When I called and spoke to him, he said he did not see any damage which was a lie, and I sent the images to him again he said that he would reach out to the owner the next day and call me with an update. The next day the owner called and he said that they could paint the leather. Which to me is not a sufficient repair of $4,000 couches that were blatantly damaged by his employees. He proceeded to argue with me and said that he was doing us a favor by not charging us for the couches to be picked up and transported back-and-forth. In my opinion, I would have rather transport than myself because I know I would not have damaged my own couches like they did.
The original owner, Mike called us personally because he knows us and he came out to look at the couch and did a small glue repair to it. He was friendly about it, but the current owner did little to nothing about the situation. He still has yet to reach out to us after Mike came out to take care of it.
I still feel that even with the repair the couches are not in the same condition that they were prior to them being picked them up. And he did not handle it very professionally or customer based. I would not buy anything from here. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely be telling my entire family who has bought from there, since the 1980s, to stop going there.
Spending all that money on couches to have them damaged and not being taken care of is very concerning. He could have replace the couch with another one of equal value, given a cash value for the cost of repair to have it reupholstered, or anything but instead, he just wanted to take the cheap route and paint over damage. Instead, he wanted to try to argue with me and tell me he was doing me a favor. The only favor he did was show me his poor business and customer service which will keep me from referring or returning to this place ever. A lot of business will be lost...
Read moreYears ago, I bought La-Z-Boy recliners due to their rugged construction, workmanship quality, and comfort. They USED to last a long time through lots of use. These older recliners were manual lever operation with steel and wood frames.
The last La-Z-Boy recliner I bought was powered and its legrest mechanism was plastic. It only lasted 6 years.
After reading reviews of La-Z-Boy and other local furniture stores service, quality, and repair issues, I was very uncertain of where to go next for a quality recliner. Well, I'm here to tell you that I found a place BETTER than La-Z-Boy ever was!
The recliner and furniture selection at Hall's Furniture in Citrus Heights is amazing. Jeff and Taffy are pleasant respectful low-pressure sales people that are a delight to interact with.
When they turned over the recliner to show me its quality steel and milled wood frame, rugged construction, and metal mechanisms, I was overjoyed! This recliner will last a long time.
It was delivered on time by a pleasant team that are directly employed by Hall's, not subcontractors. Once set up, I found that this recliner is the most solid recliner I have ever had. The available Teflon fabric protectant was also a smart investment. The prices are also very reasonable. A better recliner in 2023 cost me less at Hall's than 2017 at La-Z-Boy.
I will go back to Hall's for all my furniture...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews, but I had to share my experience with this furniture store after they went above and beyond to help me with a warranty claim on my Flexsteel chair.
I purchased my chair a while ago and recently noticed a small issue. I wasn’t even sure if it would be covered under warranty, but when I contacted the store, their team was incredibly helpful and professional right from the start. They took the time to explain the Flexsteel warranty process, handled all the paperwork for me, and kept me updated every step of the way.
Within a short time, they had the replacement parts ordered and sent a technician out to my home to fix the issue. The service was fast, friendly, and completely hassle-free. You can really tell they stand behind what they sell and genuinely care about their customers, even long after the sale is made.
If you’re looking for quality furniture and top-notch customer service, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for my...
