I bought my custom PC from CyberPowerPC during Black Friday in 2022. The order process was smooth: I placed the order on 11/24, it was authorized on 11/25, moved into production by 12/9, and shipped on 12/12. Delivery was initially estimated for 12/19 but rescheduled to 12/17 just hours before arrival. Luckily, since I work from home, the earlier delivery wasn’t an issue. The PC arrived in perfect condition and worked great. The process took just over three weeks, and I was so impressed that I recommended CyberPower to others.

Unfortunately, my second experience in 2024/2025 was far less seamless. I ordered another custom PC on 11/29 as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, taking advantage of Black Friday discounts. At checkout, I was warned that using different shipping and billing addresses could cause issues, but since we don’t live together, I didn’t want the PC shipped to my house. Aware of potential complications, I placed the order, expecting I might need to resolve issues with support later.

The order went through and was confirmed on 11/30, but shortly after, I received an email stating that CyberPower couldn’t ship to an address different from the billing address if I used my card. They suggested alternatives like PayPal or wire transfer, and my order was placed on hold for an unverified shipping address.

I responded immediately, opting to use PayPal. Danny H, the same sales rep who had helped process my order two years ago, handled my case. Unfortunately, this time, he was neither friendly nor efficient. He replied over nine hours later, advising me to reorder through the website and canceling my original order. I asked if the Black Friday price could still apply or if I could pay via wire transfer to retain the discount. The thought of having to select the PC parts again and pay a higher price, especially since Black Friday had passed and the promotions had already changed by the time I received his response, was incredibly frustrating. At that point, I was even willing to have the PC shipped directly to me to avoid further issues.

His next response, sent the following evening, simply reiterated that the order had already been canceled. By then, I was livid. I had been actively trying to resolve the issue and complete the purchase. Had he replied sooner, I might have been able to reorder while the Black Friday discounts were still active. I responded asking to have the order reinstated, as I had no intention of having it canceled, but I didn’t receive a reply.

With no other option, I reordered on Cyber Monday (12/2) using PayPal. Surprisingly, the new total, including free upgrades, was less than the original. I emailed Danny for confirmation and called CyberPower to double check, but Danny himself answered. His tone was cold and unhelpful, stating that “if there are any issues, we will let you know.”

The PC entered production on 12/10 and shipped on 12/12. Delivery was rescheduled from 12/19 to 12/18, which wasn’t an issue as my boyfriend was home to receive it. However, upon setup, the PC had major issues: Windows wouldn’t load, startup was extremely slow, and troubleshooting with tech support didn’t resolve the problems. Ultimately, I had to ship the PC back to California for repairs. It was returned on 1/10 after a motherboard replacement – a frustrating six-week ordeal involving hours of troubleshooting, coordinating shipments, and waiting.

While my first experience was great, the second was marred by poor communication, Danny H’s dismissive attitude, and inadequate resolution efforts. I also received multiple survey emails while my issues remained unresolved.

Despite this, I have decided to leave this review at 3 stars, recognizing my positive first experience but warning buyers of possible issues. If customer service and flexible delivery options are important to you, consider looking elsewhere.

TL;DR: Cyber Monday discounts were better than Black Friday. Use PayPal for shipping to a different address. No delivery rescheduling. Expect to wait 3-6+ weeks for a...

There were some hiccups, but overall I'm glad I chose CyberPowerPC. The PC I built was great value and I didn't have to assemble it myself. Just make sure you take the time to research each part and you should be good.

That said, this is a PC I bought in November 2024 (during early black friday deals). I don't know if the value will remain great after the tariffs come into effect or throughout the entire year, so just keep that in mind.

Hiccup #1 (medium): the case arrived with a broken foot, despite me paying for the "ultra care" option (I guess that only protected the internals, not the case). Despite a small piece of it being destroyed, the PC still stands just fine, so it's not too bad.

Hiccup #2 (small): the "secret" UPS costs. This is more of a warning: if you're in Canada, make sure you're ready to pay up to CAD$500 more for your order than what the final price was. For me it was $490. That's how much money you're going to have to give to UPS for them to ship your PC to you. The USD$109 shipping does not cover that. For me, this PC was still good value even after that. That's how overpriced PCs are in Canada.

Hiccup #2 (small): I never received my game freebie. The bank had frozen my account due to the purchase being "unusual" (I had cancelled an order on another site because CyberPowerPC was better value), so I had to deal with that, but then in the meantime, they changed the freebie without telling me. So when my order went through, the freebie was no longer valid. While this is more my fault than theirs, I was never made aware that the freebie was no longer valid. If any delay happens, make sure you cancel your order and then order again with the new freebie or you might not get it.

Hiccup #3 (small): Just a couple days after I bought my PC, it went down in price by a hundred USD. I asked if they do price drop protection and they said no. Fair enough. It's no biggie, because I was still happy with the price I paid, but be careful if you care about getting the lowest price. Try building the same PC on a variety of different bases a few days in a row; that way you'll have greater odds of getting the best deal.

The PC itself runs great, looks great, has zero internal damage, great air flow, and none of the USB ports are loose, which is why I'm almost giving them 5 stars.

I would say the build quality of the case I chose is a bit flimsy, which is probably how it got damaged, but it was one of the cheaper cases (CyberPowerPC AVENTUS 360V) and it came with four 140mm fans, so I can't complain too much. It was great value. But if you got a more expensive case and it arrived damaged, that would be really bad.

The customer support is also quite fast and polite. They'll answer any direct and precise question, but keep in mind that if there's something not ideal with your order, like the CPU cooler not being good enough to keep your CPU cool, they won't tell you. It's on you to research each part (I don't have an issue with this at all, I'm just letting you know). Thankfully I realized before the PC was assembled, so I sent them a message asking them to change the CPU cooler, then they asked me to confirm the new price, which I did. No issues there.

I included a pic of the damage, but luckily for me, the way I orient my PC makes it so that I can't see the damage at all. Oh, if you notice the GPU change in the latter pictures, it's because I swapped it out for a 4070 I had.

Great RGB options by the way, there's a button that lets you shift through a lot of different colors. You can also keep that button held for a few seconds to turn off the RGB...

I really wanted to love this company... but it started off and went worse and worse from there. once every 7-8 years I buy a really strong and needless to say expensive computer, I didn't mind the crazy mark-up on the parts as I know all the building of the computer will be on their warranty and I have no interest of bending a CPU pin. (retail Motherboard that goes for $500 you will be charged around $700-750) I had the ROG Strix Z-890-e gaming wifi. the second thing were the memory sticks, their system will show you the speed for the sticks but lacking information like CAS and full timing details (it might have for some but I didn't go one by one) that add to the fact that between the stock Tforce memory to the 64Gb corsair duel stick the price differance was over $640, now where mark up was understood on the motherboard and CPU.. its a click-on stick. same item is almost half price on newegg but they will not allow you to but a computer without any memory, so I had to choose the cheapest(that was probably not cheap) and sell it.. buying my own for half the price. wish it ended here ... I paid the extra for tidy wiring, 3 zip ties does not count as wiring, the chasis came with velcro ties to put the wires to clear airways for cooling, didnt bother to use those. Also computer came making terrible noises due to wiring touching the fans. (attached.) when I purchase a $3500+ you would expect they will ship it to you safetly, with cyberpower you need to pay to add the foam inside of the box to make sure the GPU wont be rattled, I almost wanted not to pay it and see what happens when the GPU comes with a broken pin. but decided just to pay it.

computer arrived hardware only, they did not install any hardware related software, nor gave instructions of where to get it. i'd like to consider myself a techi and found exactly the type of cooler model and motherboard to go out and find the needed software to control the LEDs and to update my components.

That brings me to customer service, we have the old (whom ever is old as I am) joke of what used to be customer service, "please disconnect the plug,, wait with me for 10 seconds, now please reconnect.." type of customer service, I have an issue with the onboard soundcard, it refuses to play 5.1 through the optic cable even until today. the magnificent customer service was, "here is a link to your motherboard software file", not like I have tried it as a first option. and nothing more, the guy on the phone literally said "this is all I can do for you", a $3500+ computer that can't play surround and this is their response. so when the pc started crashing due to over heat I didn't even bothered waisting my time to call them again.

so far I had the computer crash twice, over heat a few times as the fans were not configured (even at 70c they were not set to increase speed so the computer just crashed or crashed the game I was playing.) the rig have a radiator + 7 high quality fans, it should not by any means heat up because of a medium quality game.

so to summarise If it wasn't a black friday deal, and I could skip 2 weeks of working without a computer, I would return it. I don't think it worth the price, I dont think I got the customer service that should get with such a high end rig. and I don't think that they actually did what I paid them to do for some of the parts. I bet you can get a better deal...

Bought one of their pre-built PCs from Amazon, I'm very impressed on how well it all went! Shipping was fast, everything was packed well, all I had to do was pull out some foam from the inside and it was ready to go. I've never built a PC before, but with a good foundation from these guys and some help from friends I can see this PC lasting me a long time!

Oh, if you notice the GPU change in the latter pictures, it's because I swapped it out for a 4070 I had. Great RGB options by the way, there's a button that lets you shift through a lot of different colors. You can also keep that button held for a few seconds to turn off the RGB if you prefer.
