At the intersection of sublime luxury and opulent indulgence one finds The Aristocrat. When so many in this world settle for mere perfection or "World Class", The Aristocrat dares to set the bar higher. Four Seasons at Sayan? Tierra Patagonia Hotel and Spa? The Oberoi? Perhaps your tastes run more rustic and you prefer the down home charm of The Lowell? Please, amateur hour all.
The aptly named "Aristocrat" motel caters to only the uppermost of the upper class. From it's finely appointed suites to it's comprehensive motorcoach accommodations, The Aristocrat promises and delivers an unsurpassed, all-inclusive sensory experience that must be seen to be believed. Though rumored to be in preliminary negotiations with Trump Towers for inclusion in their stable, The Aristocrat presently remains independent and, in this reviewer's opinion, would be in poor company by comparison should they agree to a merger.
As a diamond amidst the gems of Baldwin Park lodging destinations, The Aristocrat consistently exceeds one's expectations and soars into the rarified tableau reserved for only a select few, privileged bon vivants. But be forewarned, a stay at The Aristocrat will change you forever. You may be sipping a rare cognac in your library and the wind will whisper, "The Aristocrat". You may be sailing your yacht past the Dry Tortugas and the ocean mist will echo, "The Aristocrat". Why, just the other day I would have sworn my Louis the XIV clock chimed out "The Aristocrat" on the half... yes, The Aristocrat is really that magical.
So, in summary, while other Baldwin Park motels may aim for the stars, The Aristocrat aims for, and hits, the Quasars!

Read moreThe room appeared to be clean but it had a sweaty smell to it. I don't understand why though, the sheets and towels smelled bleached. Maybe the comforter needs to be washed more often? I didn't want to smell it to find out. Or maybe it was the floor? I spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up with toilet paper and the paper was blackened with grime. The bathroom was spotless though and the water was sufficiently hot. The room was pest free. The WiFi signal in my room was good and fast. You most likely wont hear your neighbors in adjacent rooms because rooms had carports in between them. You will however hear the freeway because it is right next to the motel, at times I would even feel rumbling as an 18-wheeler passed by. I was able to block the noise out by leaving the ac's fan on at night. As the title of this review indicates, this is a bare bones motel. There is no coffee in the lobby or coffee maker in the room, no hangers in the room to hang clothes, and the window curtains do not sufficiently block the light from the outside. The pictures of the room were accurate and exactly how I found my room. Overall, the room was okay for the amount...
Read moreIt's a nice older (1940s) motel from the bygone days when Garvey Avenue was US 60-70-99. There aren't too many of these mom n' pop places around anymore, but this motel still serves travelers well.||Good stuff: The room was very updated with new bath fixtures and hard floors. Secure keycard door locks. AC blew nice and cold. The manager accommodated an early check-in request which was greatly appreciated, and was very helpful. Rather quiet for being so close to I-10. Easy freeway access (depending on traffic congestion) to area destinations. Short drive to many food options.||Issues: All rooms look to have short stairs - could be an access problem for some. No ice machine. Somewhat small parking lot and spaces - could be an issue for larger vehicles. Not a big fan of tall beds, but it was comfortable.||If I'm not in my big pickup truck and I'm not traveling with someone with accessibility needs, I'd definitely...
