I made an online order on 7 November 2018. Two months later I noticed that I did had not received my order. I sent an email to the company to inquire about the status of the order, they told me that I did not pay for shipping and that they had tried to contact me. I checked my phone and email not seeing anything from them, so I know that no one tried to contact me. I told them this in an email and again no contact, I tried to call two times and left a message with no return call. I emailed again and finally got an email back from Brett stating that he would send the order and they pay for the shipping since a mistake at their end had been made. We worked out that I would call and give my credit card number since the original order had expired. Since that time I have tried to call at least twice with not return call. I also sent two emails that stated I would be available anytime on three different days, no phone call. I have now sent three additional emails without a return email since 14 January 2019. I give one star since I can give zero stars.

But a suggestion to the business, they really need better communication, especially with all these negative reviews. I didn't get any sort of confirmation email after making the purchase, to the point I was doubting if it went through until I checked that my card had been charged. A week went by with no contact, at that point I found all the reviews here and pretty much assumed I had been scammed. After another week I finally got an email saying the order had been shipped. In another week I finally received it. Very long shipping time, but after seeing the paperwork for the quarantine and shipping procedure for live plants I totally get and understand that, but especially when all these reviews about the company being a scam are going to freak people out, some communication, at the very least an automated confirmation email when placing the order would have been appreciated.    Read moreI attempted to order several specialty malts and a hard-to-find yeast from Long Island Homebrew. Although I got a confirmation e-mail about my order, I didn't hear anything until a week later when a cryptic message from the store informed me that one of the items was out of stock and my entire order would be delayed. I tried to call but the Google Assistant screener wouldn't connect me (or the owner declined to answer after I'd stated my name to the screener). I sent an e-mail reply asking for more info on what was out of stock, and to please just ship what was actually available. A few more days without answer and I e-mailed again to ask for a refund. A week more without answer and I had to file a dispute with my credit card company.
