Matt Szat Magic — Local services in City of Long Beach

I was planning to have Matt at a fundraiser in April 2019, but it was postponed for obvious reasons. Since I met Matt in person shortly before that time, he was friendly, professional, and talented. I was personally blown away by his magic and decided to hire him for the event.

After getting postponed until just two weeks ago, Matt was communicative throughout the whole time. He was patient and flexible which I really appreciated. The event I was hosting was a fundraiser mixed with friends, family, coworkers, and clients. Everyone was blown away by Matt! His tricks were clean, entertaining, and very impressive.

The event was specifically to raise money for a camp for adults who are Deafblind. When I told Matt this, I also lightly challenged him to prepare a trip for the deafblind attendees, and he took up the challenge. It was tough and required extra creativity and thought; the deafblind attendees were very impressed and grateful for this experience, as was I.

Our experience with Matt Szat Magic was wonderful! Once I booked with him through Gary Ferrar of AhRealMagic, he reached out and was very helpful through the entire process. I definitely appreciated the “hype” email that I was able to use for the invitations I sent via email. He gave me a lot of reassurance and followed up with me just the right amount.

The show itself was quite the experience. We enjoyed how engaging he was with us and how much he spoke throughout the show. When he called an individual to participate and the presenter view displayed both him and the participant video feed, it really made it even more engaging. The amount of tricks he did was fair and the wow factor of most of them really got us. The tricks that did it for me were the ones that he was not in control of, such as having a participant select a card from their own deck at home, etc. For the cost of the event, I do wish the length of the show was longer, or that the tricks could have been an even greater wow factor, or more engagement and participation for the audience.

WOW! What an entertainer and what a show! We booked Matt for our 5th Grade Virtual Senior Trip and I’m so glad we did! Matt was easy to work with throughout the whole booking process. He was professional and kind. He did a demo with me via Zoom and answered all of my questions. On the day of the show, I was definitely impressed! He was funny and mysterious and energetic. He built his own personal experiences that he wanted to share with the students right into his show. His tricks and illusions were top notch and he kept us all engaged the entire time. The students were so excited to participate and be a part of his magic!
