ALDI — Local services in City of Ogdensburg

Surprisingly low prices and good selection. Having just traveled nearly 6000 miles in 4 months across the country from the West Coast to here in upstate NY, and shopped every week, we've seen a range in prices in various places. These are the lowest we've encountered. I say "good selection" only because much of the produce is packaged in quantity amounts, and not sold individually. But it's all good quality and reasonable quantity. Our plans are to leave the country soon for the EU, and this was a pleasant surprise, as ALDI's are everywhere in Europe. The one odd thing we encountered was the coin operated shopping cart?!?!? In order to use a cart, the shopper has to insert a quarter into a slot in the handle to release it from the cart in front of it, which is attached by a chain. Once the coin is inserted, the chain pops out, and you're free to shop. When we were there, no instructions on how to do this were provided, so a few of the carts still had coins left in the slots, as no one knew how to get them back out. The "key" was to insert the chain end (key) of the cart in front of yours (when you return the cart to the cart corral) into the front side of the handle on your cart, which then releases your quarter back to you. Genius!!! No more stolen or lost carts. Capitalism works at the basic level, and helps keep prices low. One other "odd" thing was that ADLI does not provide bags, oh, and the cashiers are also provided a chair... How humane... Good prices Good product Good...

If you desire quality groceries and superior value to stretch your food budget, I recommend you try ALDI on Park Street in Ogdensburg, NY. After a recent remodeling, the Ogdensburg ALDI is a better shopping experience with nearly every category of grocery items that one could need. I've come to appreciate the many ALDI-brands that taste good and cost less! Weekly discounted items and "ALDI Finds" specials abound. A joke I like to make in the checkout line is to ask other shoppers what they are going to do with all the money. "What money?" they respond. "All the money you've saved today by shopping at ALDI," is my answer. Last week, I really lucked out and found a pair of ALDI men's sneakers, in my size, regularly $12.99, reduced to $3.99! I absolutely love aldis in ogdensburg It is one of the best aldis their is the store is always clean and filled. They are rarely ever out of anything. The staff are always friendly. There's always plenty of parking with no weight. They have pickup, and they have handicapped. You can't parking, they have bathrooms. You do not need to ask for the key. They are always clean. The food is always fresh. The produce is always fresh I.Absolutely am in love with the new little olive tree I found there!! And that's the thing with Aldi's.
