I was sent to the store by my client who is specific about what he wants and where he wants it from. I went into this store for a few items and spent well over 40 minutes searching for my items. I'm sure it's partly because I had to familiarize myself with the store again after not being there for some years, but mostly because the store is very disorganized now. I think because I was a customer service trainer, I notice things instantly. I went there on several occasions throughout my time there and only once was I greeted as I walked in. I thought it was me, so when I came back again, I stood at the door waiting for the cashier to acknowledge me so I could ask a question. On another occasion, I had a good amount of things I needed to purchase. As I approached the register I greeted the cashier with no response and a bland stare on his face, he proceeded to check my items. I asked him to not put my items back on the counter after he bagged them so I could place them in my cart without having to walk around my cart to get my packages. I must not have been clear because he continued to bag my items, remove them from the bag wheel, and place them behind me on the register. The customer who was standing behind my cart looked at me and shook his head in disbelief. DG is always a good convenient go-to store when you're not close to a market and the prices are always great. This store is in a perfect location because there is nothing else on that side of town that compares to it. Read moreThis Morning I was running around looking for eyelash glue. While I was in the second store, I googled the brand to see if it was close. Low and behold it says that you have it in the store, so I make the mad dash to DG on the other side of town. Let's be clear when I walked in the store there was 3 persons up front 2 standing and talking about my lashes and fashion as I passed them. Mind you there was one recognizable employee who was behind the retail counter ringing ppl up. So I get to what looks like the cosmetics wall. This section was very sparse. I didn't see it or many related items so I went back up to ask the young man if they carried the brand I came there for, he says yes over there on the wall. So I go over to the two ladies after one asked if I needed help. She proceeded to explain how the shipment was all boxed up and out on the floor. And said that that guy is the only one here. In other words it was in the store but not out on the floor. She further information me that they would most likely be out by next week. And then. Continued to stand around. Read moreActually, zero rating. The employees are lazy. The store is unkept. You can always find merchandise or stick juice or whatever all over the dirty floors so be careful or you will trip. The shelves are messy and you can't find anything.They offer Western Union Service but only a few employees are knowledgeable on how to process this transaction, so forget it!!! they turn you away and tell you that the system is down. Thumbs down!!!! You call the corporate office and someone named Alexas answers the phone as if she just jumped out of the shower. No supervisors are available. Who owns this darn place.
