No prices on website. Salespeople were pushy. I did find a couch and coffee table I wanted; the coffee table was discontinued, they offered to sell me the floor display model, slightly scuffed, at full price no discount. No thanks? For the couch, it was an oversize model, so I drove home and measured the entire entryway (hall height, width, depth, stair height width depth, stair railings, door widths, everything). I called the salesperson and gave them the measurements. They assured me there was "Plenty!" of clearance, they can deliver no problem. But they wouldn't let me complete the order over the phone, I had to drive back to the store where they tried to sell me the display model coffee table again at full price. No thanks again? They said the couch would take 1-2 weeks to deliver. I waited over 4 weeks for the two delivery guys to take one look at the entryway and say it won't fit. They measured everything, came up with the same measurements I had given the salesperson, and confirmed that the couch would absolutely not fit through the entryway. I agreed.
The salesperson either didn't bother to check the measurements on the couch or made a substantial error. The couch was obviously way too big to fit through the entryway, and the salesperson should have known there was no way. It was at least 6 inches too long. I should have measured the couch myself instead of trusting the salesperson to measure it.
So, I wasted a month waiting for a couch that never was going to fit through the entryway, plus a day off work to wait for a delivery that never happened. And they tried to get me to buy another couch instead of refunding me. No thanks again? So I asked for a refund, and the salesperson said he'd call me back after he was done with his current client. Over 3 hours later, I did finally get a call and they did issue a refund.
Lesson learned. I'll measure everything...
Read moreFirst the lady couldn't find my invoice until I called back with my reciept. What I was told last I spoke with them was "just call us back when you're ready for delivery" That's not what happened. To find out they cancelled my order with no verbal nor written notice for appliances that were paid for prepandemic with the excuse of "the pandemic happened and prices changed" I didn't know prices can change on products that were already paid for🤷🏾♀️ I bit the bullet on that and despite my gut feeling still did business with them. On delivery day I was 12 minutes away coming from my PT appointment I arrived to find the appliances already in my house when I said WE would be using the side door I didn't say for them to let themselves in I said I was 10 12 minutes away they put the appliances in my house in the middle of the room and bent my door sill. I call and what I got was "they didn't damage the door sill. and to quote George again" it's not like the door is brand new" it's a 3year old door that was costly $1,900 down the drain thanks to Charlotte appliance and there bad business practices. Not ever again sure isn't like it was. They made me feel like I couldn't afford my appliances that I ALREADY PAID FOR. To quote George again "LG is super expensive now" when I asked what the price difference was implying that I couldn't afford it because I guess my last name looked like I can't afford it . Shotty business practices they don't care if this minority girls property gets damaged because a $1900 plus taxes and delivery not mentioning the install to George the door is "not a brand new door". It is my property that their delivery people damaged and let themselves into my home without permission. I am appalled. I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing business with this place and the prices are pretty...
Read morePurchased 2 appliances (Refrigerator & Range) only to have both appliances DAMAGED ON DELIVERY. The Range has a dented side panel from overtightening the dolly strap to bring it into the house. The Refrigerator left door was reinstalled after removal to bring in with the wiring to the front door control panel shorted by the wires being crushed/shorted under the mounting hardware. Because we opted to hookup the water supply line ourselves the delivery men informed us that the supply line must be opened to completely fill the refrigerator lines BEFORE POWERING THE REFRIGERATOR ON. With the connection made the Refrigerator was powered up to have "SY CF" on the display because of the harness compressed under the mounting bracket shorting to the frame. Needless to say my $2000 refrigerator was DOA . I called to ask what the "SY CF" meant, did a Google search and by removing the hinge cover IMMEDIATELY found the root cause. Pictures were sent to Charlotte that hour and informed us Lockwood Appliance Repair would come out. The harness was determined to need replacement by Lockwood (requiring less than 10 minutes to troubleshoot when I pointed them to it) but it needed to be ordered. Since then & before replacement of the harness the Refrigerator exhibits loud, arcing snaps FOLLOWED by very loud operation... My wife has said she paid for a BRAND NEW FULLY FUNCTIONAL REFRIGERATOR, not a repaired appliance of questionable...
