Sander's Parkview — Local services in City of Salamanca

This grocery store is very very expensive for 90% of their products . For example they sell kraft Parmesan cheese here for 5.79 I believe it was or very close and they sell the exact same shaker bottle at other grocery stores for under 3$ that’s twice the price!! Many, many items are like this . I had an awful experience with the entire deli department when I wanted a salad made with no olives. They are a call to order deli and they literally told me very crappily - and this was the manager after the front line worker was extremely rude - he told me that I would need to call two hours (at least) a head of time if I want no olives in my salad . Literally that was the only difference between the ones out on the shelf - but not everyone likes olives and with those you usually hate them or love them and I HATE them so no mr manager I’m not going to buy one of your other ones and “pick them out” . TWO HOURS !! Ridiculous! The slowest order-out places in town wouldn’t be crazy enough as to say 2 hours!! and the best part is all that stuff’s already all chopped up and out in the back In a deli counter so all they would have to do is grab veggies from those and put them in a container with the same price tag . I just couldn’t believe how horrible the customer service was! I also have a friend who special ordered a birthday cake from there and they just never made it and then tried to act like it wasn’t a big deal that they ruined a child’s birthday party because she didn’t have the cake she’d been asking for. I'm very sorry to say this store has deteriorated unbelievably.A store I have frequented my whole life pretty much! I ordered a baby shower cake from a not very friendly lady. We went over the order sheet 2x and every question was answered and circled correctly (traditional buttercream frosting was a must I told her and checked to see it was correct and she also read it back to me even!) When I picked it up it was nicely decorated and I complimentary to the ladies. When I opened it and served it was the whipped cream (yukky and waxy tasting). Most of the guests scraped it off and ate some of the cake..mostly got throwed out. My son called down Sunday and talked with an Adam who said he was going to give us store credit. Then he didnt. I called down Tuesday and he said he checked the order sheet and everything was correct. I said the buttercream frosting was not on the cake , the cheap whipped stuff was..then he says "no frosting choice was circled"! Huh?? Even if that was true (it isnt), wouldn't that be odd the person who took the order wouldn't get a frosting choice on a $30.00 cake? Somehow the frosting choice got "uncircled" hmm strange..then he says " I'll give you $5 bucks in store credit"! Lol! I said no thanks, I'll make an online review, and Thanks! Most of the staff are friendly but the prices there are ridiculously high, I feel they take advantage of the fact that they're the only full grocery store within 30 miles and because they get customers from Allegany state park (campers) & out of town guests staying at the casino on the other end of town. This store has the prices of a resort, at which you have no other choice. Which really sucks for residents of our small rural community! Especially those without vehicles. Their selections aren't great either and you're extremely hard pressed to find any good produce there, I've given up! Even if you can find a piece of fruit that isn't ridiculously over ripe and that looks good... you get it home and it's either dry, bitter or tasteless! No matter what time of year it is. And again... the prices on fruits and veggies are ridiculously high! I shop at Sanders as lil as humanly possible. And don't even bother to look at their produce anymore, and I'm...
