Come rain or shine, the food and beverage team at Saratoga Racetrack are a cut above the rest! We had such a memorable experience at Saratoga this year, that Ticketmaster almost ruined for us, if it wasn't for the amazing staff here! Disclaimer: booking tables and tickets through Ticketmaster may come with unexpected surprises. We were recommended to call Guest services to purchase in the future, so we don't end up finding out about dress code restrictions while already at the track!
This week I was set on treating my Dad to a turf (track) side table our first day, however, when booking any turf side table through Ticketmaster online, info in the “Description” section states “Table Seating.” Apparently an email is sent after the fact detailing a dress code which Ticketmaster does not even mention to look for when booking. To our surprise, when we arrived, we were almost turned away completely, after spending several hundreds on the table because, on an 88° August day, my dad was wearing shorts, which was not within our section's dress code.
Thankfully a sweet host station staff member got her manager, Peggy, who absolutely saved the day and made our whole weekend! Just as she arrived a torrential downpour also hit, to make the table situation even more chaotic, as anyone without outside tables were rushing in but Peggy quickly turned around a nightmare into one of our most memorable experiences at the track! She was able to get us a table on the other side of dinning, club side, where shorts were accepted, we were able to reschedule our turf side table for another day and the food and beverage staff just took care of us like we were family! Everyone there is just top-tier and exceptional in every way!
The incredible compassion of the staff here is why I believe Saratoga Racetrack is the luckiest track on earth and in my experience, I think that especially comes from the truly great management leadership with Peggy! Crisis management and problem solving were second nature to her and what could’ve been a terrible experience was one of our best yet. Coming to Saratoga, for me, is all about my dad and I really wanted to make sure he had a great time. My family has been coming to Saratoga for over 50 years, it’s become a generational tradition, and this year will be one we talk about for years to come! Thank you so much for everything to the Saratoga food and beverage staff and special...

My view of Saratoga Racetrack has not changed when it comes to Management. We came back to work, and we weren't even given a simple care package with hand sanitizer or even a mask if we wanted one or disinfectant wipes to clean the area where we work. I think that when safety involves the workers, it means sanitation as well. We don't have running water at our stations to freely wash our hands. And why do we have to bring water from home? Why can't we be provided water by management like Security provides for their officers? I feel that management should step back and take a look and the things they do to the workers at the track! We work hard in the heat! Workers are not allowed to get any perks that are given out on special days, yet we see boxes and bags being carried off the property by management to their cars. When it's scorching hot, there is no water available for us! You would think that the track would show appreciation by throwing a luncheon for the employees. Let's talk about bonuses! I have never worked at a place that took taxes out of a bonus! INTEGRATED should be ashamed of the things they do and management should be looked into for allowing the poor treatment of staff. I have watched as individuals got angry at their coworkers seating clients because they felt they were interfering with their tips. Positions should be rotated NO ONE should be PRIVILEGED! It's a job and everyone should be afforded the same opportunity to make tips! I hope that Saratoga Racetrack will take a hard look at the PEOPLE who makes it possible for the...
Read moreWe visit Saratoga once a year for 2 days and always have a good time. It is expected that parking, food prices, etc are going to be expensive, so that is a given. It is world class racing and the horses and jockeys are the very best. One thing we do like very much is the way the jockeys stop and take photos with the fans, shake the kids hands and sign autographs - they are just great! I write this with the hopes that NYRA Management sees it, but I don't think they really care. Two examples of poor service are as follows: We are seniors and paid for what is called Madison Preferred Parking - this is in the Madison lot. When I entered the parking attended made us park the furthest away from the exit, and I saw "open spaces closer to the exit fence, but he wouldn't let us park in those spaces - so as we are walking, a car pulls up and he parks them in the closer space - very nice! This is what I call poor customer service - so NYRA you need to fix this! Second - at the Carnegie Deli where a hot dog is $13 and Corned Beef Sandwich $20 - I asked the counter person (a lady) for a small cup that was right behind her on a table. She said they are in the center tables. I said they are literally right behind you and she still wouldn't give it to us and this after paying $70 for a hot dog, sandwich and 2 soda and left her a tip. Again - very POOR customer service especially to senior citizens. So, you need to get better NYRA and speak with your employees on how to treat CUSTOMERS! Again, I doubt NYRA does anything about this as they are an organization that does not...
